BOOM! We've passed the $125,000 mark!

That means Eldritch Lairs for Pathfinder is happening!

$125,000 also adds Maze Magic to the Pathfinder Player's Guide AND the 5E Heroes Handbook.

Sweet!

Quick question though concerning the add-on option for the PFRPG Eldritch Lairs. Is it for the PDF version, the printed version or for both versions?

I've pledged for the Midgard PFRPG Digital Collection which, amongst other things, grants me All unlocked PDF adventures.

So does this level also include the PFRPG Eldritch lairs (which are unlocked adventures) or do I have to add to my pledge to gain them?

I don't mind paying for it, I just want to know to allocate money accordingly.

The Exchange Kobold Press

The PFRPG Eldritch Lairs can be added on as a PDF or as a print version, whichever you prefer.

Of course, the Digital Collection does already include the Eldritch Lairs for Pathfinder. So you don't need to add anything, it's already included.

Thank you for the answer.

It's what I thought, however I work in an environment where confirming informations is critical so it sometimes translate outside of work too.

Liberty's Edge

We've passed $130,000 and that means more info on the Wasted West and Seat of Mavros is being added to the Midgard Hardcover!

The stretch goal has been reached, Elven Magic is now a part of Player's Guide/Heroes Handbook.

Yes, that will be part of the Player's Guide for Pathfinder, and part of the Heroes Handbook for 5E. Chances are it also will be released as a PDF.

I just pledged for the Player's Guide for Pathfinder, $40 pledge. Since I am no longer a GM I did not see any reason for the campaign setting. While I loved Deep Magic, there are some spells I just went yucky to.

The Exchange Kobold Press

There are pretty much some yucky spells in every book of spells I've ever seen. Fortunately, it's always just a few.

Thanks for your pledge, and I think you'll like the Player's Guide for Pathfinder! Amanda Hamon Kunz posted a bit about human, dwarven, and elfmarked racial traits going into the book.

Liberty's Edge

OK, this is it! Only 4 hours left!!!

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!! (good luck getting that out of your head for the rest of the day - you're welcome :)

We're over $183,000 and 1,800 backers!

Less than 200 more backers (even a new backer pledging a single $1 counts!) and Midgard Open World becomes a reality

Dragon Magic, a ton of additional awesome heraldry art, and another Eldritch Lair have all been unlocked.

Next up is the Shadows of the Dusk Queen adventure for Pathfinder and 5E and then after that, who knows?

The Midgard Campaign Setting kickstarter ends TODAY!!!

Liberty's Edge

Only 2 hours left!!!

We're over $185,500 and 1,800 backers!

Less than 200 new backers to go to make Midgard Open World a reality

Dragon Magic, a ton of additional awesome heraldry art, another Eldritch Lair, and now Shadows of the Dusk Queen adventure for 5E and Pathfinder (PDF and Print) have been added

AND, the $200,000 stretch goal reward has just been announced, and it's a BIG ONE! Two big ones in fact!

Return to Castle Shadowcrag adventure for Pathfinder and 5E!
- and -
Swords & Wizardry Supplement for the Midgard Campaign Setting!

The Midgard Campaign Setting kickstarter ends in 2 hours!!!

Aww come on, not fair, Castle Shadowcrag at 200k. No way we are getting another 12-13k in less than two hours.

Will Zobeck be an additional map, or added in the corner of Midgard one?

Might sound stupid but if the adventure is called "Return to Castle Shadowcrag" in which other adventure did the PC went to Castle Shadowcrag?

Castle Shadowcrag was a 3.5 adventure for Open Design patrons only.

Ah ok, that would explain why I was unfamiliar with it. thank you.

The Exchange Kobold Press

Confirmed; it was published in 2008, small print run.

Zobeck map will either be printed on the back of the existing one, or a separate fold-out. Depends on paper.

Voting for a separate foldout, I wanna frame them both.

If you guys use an open Backerkit, can people who didn't back the Kickstarter but did so for Backerkit count towards the last 67 for Open World?

Liberty's Edge

1,933 backers!
$191,428!

Wow!

Your support enabled us to unlock a huge number of stretch goals: whole new chapters for the almost 400-page setting tome, books of new lairs and adventures, our first DM screen ever, and a whole player's handbook of character options. This is a huge, huge step forward for the Midgard Campaign Setting, for 5th Edition and Pathfinder players, and for anyone who loves traditional fantasy settings. It's a massive win for both existing Midgard fans and for people new to the setting.

Be sure to check out the most recent update:
THANK YOU!

The Road Ahead

Dark Archive

So, my Midgard game is on a month-long hiatus while I finish some translations. I'm using that time to prepare myself for the Empire of the Ghouls, which we'll begin in April. I'm planning to end this campaign with the EotG and to begin the next one when the revised Midgard becomes available to general public. So, is this the right place for asking questions about the contents of the new Midgard book?

Sure!

Dark Archive

Well, since I plan to limit available classes and races to those specific to Midgard, the only thing that I need to know really is what races and classes will be presented into new material, if that can be revealed at this point.

There was a preview of table of contents for Player's guide in Update #19.

Spoiler:
Common Races
Humans
Elves and the Elfmarked
Optional Rule: Status
Dragonkin
Dwarves
Gearforged
Kobolds
Ravenfolk
Trollkin
Less-Common Races
Bearfolk
Gearforged
Darakhul
Gnolls
Gnomes
Minotaurs
Shadow Fey
Tieflings
Tosculi
Chapter 2: Class Options

Aeromancer (Wizard)
Blessed Scamp (Rogue)
Chosen of the Sun (Theurge)

Weapon-Sworn (Cleric)

Dark Archive

I was hoping for more information on the classes presented in New Paths Compendium, for instance. I think that I'll probably limit the choice of available classes to New Paths and races to Advanced Races Compendium.

Races ok, but classes only battle scions, theurges, elven archers, savants and white necromancers? I'd pass that game, thank you. Not sure what you mean by more information about those classes either, archetypes or place in Midgard? I mean I'm certain that most of Paizo classes have place in Midgard.

Dark Archive

You're forgetting the trickster, spell-less ranger and the priest. But yeah, I'm leaning that way.

The Exchange Kobold Press

The standard Midgard setting includes all the base classes like fighter, cleric, wizard, rogue, paladin, witch, magus, oracle, inquisitor, etc.

The New Paths Compendium classes certainly *can* be part of Midgard, but they are not required. A campaign with only NPC classes might be fun as an experiment.

Maybe ask about that again a little later ... ;)

Hey, Mark, I don't know if you are the right person to ask this, but do you know if the Return to Castle Shadowcraig will be available as pdf to people who are not backers?

Well, I’m not sure BUT I happen to know the correct summoning charm to get that answer for you ...

The plan is for a backer reward first and foremost. Once that's all sorted out, we'll see about a version for the general public.

Dark Archive

Oh, please, please make it public. I can't support kickstarters because archaic laws that regulate paying over the internet in my country but I can buy pdfs once they become available. And I really need info on Shadowcraig.
