Faerie Dragon Breath Weapon

Advice

So I have an Archivist Bard level 8 for PFS who through feats and a boon has a faerie dragon familiar. The dragon has a con based breath weapon with a really low dc. Is there a way to increase the dc of the breath weapon?

Increasing it's constitution should increase the DC if it's Con based.
Bear's endurance will net you +2 etc.

I don't know how to give a familiar a feat nor if this feat is legal in PFS but ability focus the monster feat would give it a +2 to DC

You could also try to find ways of lowering the enemies saves. The spell Blistering Invective can cause enemies shaken (with an intimidate check) and cause fire damage. The shaken condition gives -2 to saves.

A friendly witch could help too if you have any players in the area who play one.

The familiar has hit dice equal to your level, so that should increase the DC a little since all saves are based on HD and stat.

If your Faerie Dragon gets access to feats, Ability Focus (Breath Weapon) will give a +2 to the save DC. I don't know if it's PFS legal or not, but that's an option if you're able to take it.

Familiars don't gain additional feats in PFS. There's some minor swapping of starting feats that can happen, but I think it's from a limited list. I'm unclear if the particular faerie dragon in PFS can swap anything, as he's unique and treated as such for individual characters (even if there are multiples of him running around with other PCs). Meaning if he dies and you don't get him raised, you can't get another faerie dragon.

I'm wondering about swapping the feats as I'm gong to get the faerie dragon after one more scenario. I was thinking of giving him Extra Item Slot in place of Acrobatic.

But can he take Ability Focus (Breath Weapon) in place of one of the feats he possesses (such as you said, Acrobatic)? If so, that's an option the OP can consider.

The fairy dragon is unique and you are not allowed to modify him.

And familiars can trade out their starting feats(except unique ones, as this one is) but the list is VERY small and only found in the Animal Archive on pages 18-19.

I think he can only swap to the animal Companion and Familiar Feats from Animal Archive and Familiar Folio. Things like Extra Item Slot or Familiar Focus. Not to any feat.

EDIT: Thanks Lorekeeper. I suspected as much about the faerie dragon, but wasn't sure. I do think there are some feats in Animal Archive (like Extra Item Slot) that can be swapped in as well or maybe that's listed in Familiar Folio as well. I need to pick that book up before I get the familiar.

Yes, I meant to write Animal Archive instead of Familiar Folio, since the folio only has feats meant for the master and not the familiar itself.

So then the only thing that can help is CON from spell/item and the OP raising their level.

Or debuffs on the enemy.

Eye for talent would let you pick the talented riddywipple and boost his con if you're human or a halfling. Racial retrains are expensive as all hell though
