Greetings all.
Recently I started to build a new character for a Gestalt campaign and decided that I wanted to try to focus on creating magical traps. The character is currently a Kobold Cleric/Sorcerer with the Rune domain (for blast runes) and the Kobold bloodline (for trap runes). While I know that I want to pick up some the the rune and symbol spells later(especially explosive runes) - I'm unsure about what other options exist for this type of build.
So my question is, what options are there to help with a character focused on making magical traps? Is there anything I can use to boost the effectiveness of traps I create or spells like explosive runes?

Learn Ranger Trap is probably the best you can get
There is a PRC (daggermark poisoner?) from paths of prestige or called guild poisoner on the srd. At level 2 you can gain the ability to launch your traps from bow or crossbow
False focus will let you spam fire trap everywhere
Sadly Pathfinder really doesn't support player trapmaking. Needs 3.5 imports or you will end up disapointed

Step 1: Learn/prepare trap spells with material components.
Step 2: Take the blood money spell
Step 3: prepare restoration.
That's it, I would recommend that you not focus on traps specifically but blasting, this will cover both damaging traps and blasting spells.
I'm not even sure if there is any decent trap specific material but this way you won't suffer when you adventure with the party.
I would take the Orc bloodline and trade out the 1st power, 9th power and first feat in the bloodline for the awesome bloodline mutations. You will be a very strong blaster with strong traps.
I would also recommend Oracle over cleric to avoid MAD stats and give you access to revelations which are more likely to assist the blast/trap power.

You really want to get fabricate and stone shape on your spell list with a very high Craft (traps) skill modifier.
"Look at all the raw materials in the dungeon! So. much. stone."
*glee*
"I'll just make a falling block trap here, a trap door there, and--ooh that old sickle blade we found earlier could make a great scythe trap in this hallway!"
Nearly any trap you want, out of the surrounding naturally occurring materials, instantaneously.
As for stone shape, it is incredibly easy to weaponize. If you take into account ONLY the stone you move/transform, you can actually manipulate quite a lot. For example, you don't stone shape the ceiling to turn it into a bunch of spheres that collapse upon your foes, you stone shape the space IN BETWEEN the spheres to move out of the way. None of the resulting spherical shapes is counted against the spell's volume limitations, since the only stone you effectively moved/transformed is the space in between them. Don't think like normal people. Think like a highly intelligent wizard/trapsmith/engineer.
