Assistance requested in putting together an optimized Shield Champion Brawler

Advice

It's difficult to find advice about the archetype that isn't from 2013 and doesn't start with "Build subject to nerf if (X) is errata'd." so HOPEFULLY the many issues have been errata'd (whether or not brawlers get shield bash for free, whether or not the two weapon fighting they get while flurrying counts as the actual feat for feat chain qualifications, etc)

I don't want to abuse any double-shield gimmicks, but otherwise, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Race is half-orc, 20 pt. buy. If it's a juicy option, I'd really like to stack Shield Champion with Winding Path Renegade.

No takers?

I feel like you have a good idea for a build that would basically build itself. I'm guessing you would be taking Mystery of Unfolding Wind for the extra range on your throwing shield?

Shields are good on brawlers even if they aren't shield champions, because you are most likely using a close weapon or unarmed strikes (which doesn't even require a hand!). The Shield Champion gets to throw their shield too, which is nice. If you are facing two or more opponents who are close together, you can even do a ranged flurry, basically bouncing your shield back and forth off their faces.

It could be feat intensive, and you are losing your bonus feats with Winding Path Renegade, so I would suggest human, unless you are really set on Half-Orc for story reasons. The Shield Champion can be a decent switch hitter, so you might want to consider taking some ranged feats.

Also, Shield Slam is extra better for you than most sword and board fighters, because after you bull rush your opponent backward, you can still throw your shield as part of a flurry.
