If you hate your NPCs, sure


I wouldn't subject an NPC to that s*$*. Not when NPC's already in adventures get to have a drake companion and all their cool abilities.


Wow - I can feel the love here....

ps it is a shame, mostly because this could have been a really cool thing, but due to the design decisions the cool thing is decidedly disappointing - and its lost potential is keenly felt.


Ignoring all the weakness of the Drake itself, why would I want to have a companion that basically:

ignores me
refuses to do what I ask unless I bribe it or convince him
doesn't even share my ideals (alignment)

Because it's kinda like and the closest thing we got to a DRAGON!!!


The closest Paizo way. It's sad the paperbacks get the crummiest options.
