Oh, absolutely. Both yarrchives and I agree that the intent is very clear and that this is obviously a bug.

I'm not even sure I see a bug there. Revelation spells can overwhelm you. Mystery Conduit makes the spell progress your curse like a Revelation spell.

Everything seems in order.

The text is pretty clear and everyone here seems to agree how the feat works... so I'm not actually sure what the complaint is.

It is in the details of how Oracular Curse is worded.

Quote:
Immediately after casting a revelation spell while under the moderate effect of your curse, you are overwhelmed.

It specifies Revelation Spells specifically. Not 'anything that progresses your Oracle curse'. Since Mystery Conduit doesn't actually cause the spell slot spell to become a Revelation Spell, then it does not progress the curse all the way to overwhelmed. It will progress the curse up to you maximum curse level as though it was a Revelation spell.

The second bug

Quote:
While overwhelmed, you can't Cast or Sustain any revelation spells

is a bit more tenuous. The Oracle curse wording doesn't prevent you from casting spell slot spells using Mystery Conduit, but Mystery Conduit says that you have to pay for the spell by progressing your curse. If you can't progress your curse any farther, then you can't pay the cost of the spell in order to cast it.

And yeah, there really isn't a complaint. It is just an amusing bug in the wording. Trying to convince other players to run the game that way will get hit really quickly with a 'too good to be true' argument.

The text of Mystery Conduit clearly overrides the details of Oracular Curse. I don't see there being a bug.

in the same manner as when you cast a revelation spell.

Just a silly discussion all around.

I'm not sure anyone was complaining?

Anyway, here's another fun thing you can do with mystery conduit. Once overwhelmed, you can't cast revelation spells, but since mystery conduit spells aren't revelation spells and just progress your curse like one, you can still cast those while overwhelmed.

You're overwhelmed. You refocus to regain focus points and reduce your curse level from your max curse level to minor. You're still overwhelmed. You can't cast revelation spells, but you can cast a 5th level spell with mystery conduit to progress your curse from minor to moderate. You're still overwhelmed.

This has only come up for me on my high level Tempest Oracle with Blaze of Revelation. The risk of being overwhelmed just isn’t worth it outside of activating that feat.

It’s a neat interaction to be aware of, though. To know that your focus pool isn’t completely screwed once you’re overwhelmed. Still a bummer you’re stuck at your minor curse for the rest of the day with no cursebound focus spells; I don’t recommend it.
