RIP he was great on the show

My favorite character on B5. 2016 can go away now.

Scarab Sages

Yeah, I saw this posted by Claudia Christian on Facebook. Sad day.

Sorry to hear this, as I found he did amazing job making the Garibaldi character really stick out on the show. Michael O'Hare passed away a few years ago as well, and he was also 60.

Condolences to his friends and family. He had a whole lot of Crowning Moments of Awesome on B5.

A favorite, from Deconstruction of Falling Stars.

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32

This is sad news. He brought great humanity to the role of Garibaldi, and by all accounts was kind and funny in person.

A great actor in a great show, he will be sorely missed. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I was not a b5 fan, but I LOVED Garibaldi. Damn. A true loss....

Another of the B5 crew? Sad day for all of us.

My wife and I used to refer to the B5 as the 'God Hates Garibaldi' show, which seems much less amusing today.

I'll pour out an orange juice for you, Mr Doyle...

...

I've just been rewatching the show (good AND bad good lord is it unevenly written) and remembering just how damn awesome Garibaldi is.

Thanks for the killer performance, Mister Doyle. Happy trails. :(

I briefly met him at a convention in 1996, the weekend after "Severed Dreams" aired in the UK. The show was at the height of its popularity (it was a reasonably big show in the UK, and I think relatively bigger than it was in the States) and the place was jam packed. Doyle acted as unofficial compere and stand-up, cracking jokes and telling stories about filming. He was a very funny and charismatic guy. He really grew as an actor on the show as well, being quite brash in the first season but then a lot more nuanced as an actor in the fourth season.

Silver Crusade

An interesting man and a great actor. Tonight, a fresh orange juice it is.

You mean he's not off exploring the outer rim? :(

Anytime I read the word Garibaldi, I always mentally hear Londo saying it: "Mr. Garibaldi."

He's gone on walkabout with Dr. Franklin. :(

And Sinclair. And Zach Allen. And G'kar...

Damn! That sucks. They all died way too early! ~sighs~ I guess it is time to start rewatching B5 again.
