The minotaur is where you expected him, standing before the door. He lets out a chilling scream and assumes a defensive position.

ROUND 2

Arloric Dziergas-Highbough |

"But will he be left alone? Naught but blood and shattered bone..." Arloric continues as he advances towards the foeman, giving his allies space to charge in.
Can I get to him and attack this round, or will that have to wait?

Buoyed by Telerin's spell, Uriel charges the minotaur.

But even like that, he is hit by Kelly and Arloric (even is the damage is very low) before Uriel connects mightily against it, making it scream in pain!
Its turn!
Seeing that his defensive stance was not enough, the minotaur let out a cloud of abyssal smoke from his mouth, darkening the place!

This circular room's original purpose is unclear, but now it seems to be a trophy hall of some sort. A low stone pedestal sits on the floor in the middle of the chamber under a domed ceiling. Atop the pedestal is an iron, barbed cage-and within the cage sits a chunk of softly glowing white stone, the same you saw in your previous scrying.
The largest surviving fragment of the Kenabres wardstone. The key for abyss to bring the wardstone barrier down and invade the rest of Golarion, dooming all of its inhabitants to an eternal night of madness and torment.
And Jeslyn is there to defend it. She only needs to keep you at bay for a dozen of seconds more.
Jeslyn Image
As soon as the door opens she lets out a powerful spell, making dozens of black tentacles spring from the floor trying to grab your characters!
She casts Black Tentacles!
This spell causes a field of rubbery black tentacles to appear, burrowing up from the floor and reaching for any creature in the area.
Each of your characters is the target of a combat maneuver check.
The tentacles created by this spell cannot be damaged, but they can be dispelled as normal. The entire area of effect is considered difficult terrain while the tentacles last.
Black Tentacles Grapple CMB: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26
If it beats your CMD, your characters are grappled and suffers:
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
The CMD to escape the grapple is 25.
Grappled opponents cannot move without first breaking the grapple. All other movement is prohibited unless the creature breaks the grapple first. The black tentacles spell receives a +5 bonus on grapple checks made against opponents it is already grappling, but cannot move foes or pin foes.
"I'll drag your sould to the Abyss! You will never reach the wardstone in time!"
TURN 5
Your turn!

Alexa Dorne |

My DR should reduce that to 7 for me.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Alexa easily slips free of the tentacles--and makes a beeline for the wardstone!
I'm going straight for the objective. Can I reach it with 30 feet of movement? I think I'm still Hasted, if that makes a difference.

The only acknowledgement Alexa gives of Jeslyn's statement is a brief glare of pitch-black hatred before turning back to the wardstone cage.
Would I be able to reach through and take the wardstone next round? Or would I need to get the cage open first?

JohnnyBlack |

The Wardstone fragment is big. Like small man-size. You probably won't be able to carry it. The cage doesn't have a door or a way to extract the wardstone. But you can reach for the wardstone if you want to touch it, as the cage has ample space for it.

It is mechanically impossible for me to break the grapple.
Is this an ongoing ritual of some sort? Is Jeslyn chanting or something, or is she just guarding the piece?

No ranks in Knowledge (arcana), and I can't beat that DC for a Concentration check for casting, either. So not much for me to do but channel when people need it.

It's been a while so people may not remember, and, uh, not everyone was with us for this part. We are supposed to touch the Wardstone fragment with the magic rod that was given to Telerin. So if you are going for the wardstone, go see Telerin first.
