Help building a kineticist

Advice

Hello.

I had the idea to create an android and give it kineticist levels, but i find myself overwhelmed with an abundance of options.

It's my first time using this class, and i have no idea how well it works on combat, what are your experiences? wich element is your favorite? can you show me your favorite builds and how you use them?

So far, theese are her ability scores:
Str: 16
Dex: 20
Con: 18
Int: 18
Wis: 12
Cha: 9

Feats: Point-black shoot

Also, when i thought about this character, i had the idea of a Futuristic combat android that can be used as an effective body-guard (i thought that the kineticist would be good because and android atacking with energy blasts sounds perfect for me) Should i keep the idea? or should i give up and try with another class?

You might want to check this out.

Your point placement is fine, and for favorite 1p element, I'd probably say aether or earth. You have the dexterity to be pretty safe using physical blast, meaning that if you want to go defensive, aether or earth is also a good call due to their strong elemental defenses. For lower level games, I'd stick with aether which can do a lot more at lower levels while still staying strong at higher levels. For a higher level game, I'd go earth because while it's pretty good at early levels, it really takes off around the mid game.

If you're dedicated to energy blast, I'd probably go air and electric blast (both for flavor and for the power of the element), pick up your ability to fly at 6th level, and rule the skies as an electric deity.

Either way, you'll want to pick up precise shot at 3rd level and most likely weapon finesse at 5th level (although you don't really need it, it'd just be a +2 to accuracy), snagging kinetic blade at either 3rd or 5th level (I'd suggest 3rd myself, 5th will be where you'd want to pick up a second level infusion).

With that stat array you can be anything and pretty much own. Never really seen a 57 point build. If the GM allows this then I shudder to see the other characters the rest of the party plays. You can't miss, have killer saves, a ton of HP. Can melee just fine as well as range weapons or blasts. Oh yeah, and top it off with a ton of skills and really no weak saves. This guy will be as good with a dagger as he is with his blasts, thrown or melee.

Have fun, looks like a Monte Hall game, wooo hooo.

I would argue that aether is the best, for values of best.

Most of the elements are punishingly monobuild.

Aether goes:

Pushing Infusion OR Kinetic Blade

Kinetic Healer OR Telekinetic Finesse

Extended Range

Telekinetic Haul

Bowling Infusion

Telekinetic Invisibility

Foe Throw

Telekinetic Maneuvers OR Touchsight

Extreme Range OR Kinetic Whip

Force Barrier OR Reactive Touchsight

Extreme Range OR Kinetic Whip OR Wall

Suffocate

Disintegrating Infusion

Spell Deflection OR Ride the Blast

Extreme Range OR Kinetic Whip OR Wall OR Grappling Infusion

Spell Deflection OR Ride the Blast OR Telekinetic Deflection OR Telekinetic Globe

Extreme Range OR Kinetic Whip OR Wall OR Grappling Infusion

Spell Deflection OR Ride the Blast OR Telekinetic Deflection OR Telekinetic Globe

Something? I genuinely have no idea what to do with this level of Infusions. There's nothing really great left to take. I guess amuse yourself with something nifty at level 19.

Spell Deflection OR Ride the Blast OR Telekinetic Deflection OR Telekinetic Globe

See the problem here? There's really not a lot of questions about what abilities you're going to take, the question is what order to take them in. There are a few levels with genuine options, like the choice between touchsight and TK Maneuvers, but there are other levels where there are plainly bad choices. If you're taking self telekinesis, skilled kineticist, or draining infusion, you're wrong.

You can make a very cool character by selecting from among these abilities as you level up, and marking things off as needed. You'll have a lot of utility and damage ability if you're clever. If you're willing to wait, yuo can kill most enemies eventually just by using Suffocate until they fail a save, which instantly drops them to 0, and they can't recover via regeneration.
