Pricing for wood / lumber for crafting?

Advice

I wanted to know the pricing for wood for crafting supplies because fire wood is the only kind of wood I can find online and that is not a good crafting wood. and I also want to know what the DCs are for outfits like the "noble outfit" (jewelry not included). I'm making a very craft heavy character and I craft things in real life quite a bit, and also want to know, are there differences between pine wood and rose wood. Thank you if you guys are able to help.

Up to your Game Master.

Setting Location would change prices...
Somethings just don't need a "Book price"

Our group has a system to change prices based on location and size.

Your GM might even allow battering or "Diplomacy" checks to see if You can Wholesale purchase and get a discount...or you fail and make the Lumber supplier mad and your price goes up

LOL! Battering checks might make the supplier mad if you succeed. :-)

But if you succeed by 5 or more, you can get the items for free!

We are not liable for any alignment changes caused by using battering checks on people in this manner. Offer void where prohibited by law or god, which is nearly everywhere.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Per the craft skill, raw materials are 1/3 of the cost of whatever you want to make. I'd go with that.

Sometimes you need to steel yourself and sharpen your wit in order to make a cut in the price.

crafting takes far to long to really be of any use, and often to even be used.

1/3 of the price of the item includes any wood you use.

Maybe you could calculate the price for a spear (1/3 item cost) and subtract the cost of steel, which is given per pound. Spears are pretty crude weapons representing pretty much raw lumber.

While not an exact figure, you could probably use it as estimations. Item descriptions mention length.

Although, why do small spears cost the same?...
