The only problem I have is the interface. If anyone knows how to collapse already read posts, it would be a real help to my sanity.

Agreed. Or go directly to the new posts (a la Facebook).

The only luck I have had is finding Nick's posts in the notifications X minutes ago, hitting F3 to bring up find and searching the page for X Minutes which brings up a few entries for the notifications on the left but eventually gets you to the new posts. Would work for anyone's posts but I'm not seeking out everybody's posts unless I specifically engaged them, otherwise it's like fighting a Hydra.

I now learned what F3 does. This class doesnt stop teaching lol

Mostly I've been mashing the Page Down button and scanning for the little red circle, which appears to be the only visual cue for a new post.

Actual text which said "Unread Post" or some such would be more convenient as the search function would find that and save my eyeballs some... but as it stands I'm finding I can cope reasonably well.

It's far less painful than trying to read email chains written by engineers.

The Exchange

Yeah keeping up with posts has proven pretty hard so far, but I'm also scrambling to get a bunch of work done before I go out of town for a few days. Once I'm back I should be able to get all caught up and then actually contribute more to discussion!

I found out about this too late. Damn.
