More specifically, how the abilities are partitioned.
Obviously Paraduke William, loyal neutral citizen of Cheliax can't be seen channeling the blessings of Milani, as does the Steel Rose, Zealot.
But why can't Lord Oblivious, of Taldor, be a dabbler in the arcane arts and not be connected to Baron Strange the mysterious warlock avenger of the bearless?

In addition to Vigilantes, one of the things Ultimate Intrigue brought was the concept of magical signatures; specifically, that a spell's effect could be tied to a specific individual, in addition to type, school, etc.
While I understand it's typically outside the range of your average commoner to even make their Spellcraft checks, any mages in the region might be able to cast Greater Detect Magic and make the connection.

I don't know that Lord Oblivious can't be. The archetypes grant abilities and trade Vigilante talents, but they aren't Vigilante talents. You should be able to cast just fine, using your class feature to prevent Greater Detect Magic (a divination) from matching the signatures. Presumably you just have two similar signatures, since someone who knows your secret can connect the two.

The way these rules are written you really should have a different signature for your social and vigilante identities, since divination on one can't find the other.
