Awesomely scary! :)
Actually, that very much resembles a creature down south here,... <goes to google>
The one I know about is called the Parlangua. Half-man, half alligator.
They even have a MArdi Gras Krewe named after it.
Still, Gorillagator is even more frightening! (Wasn't sure that was possible. Now I know) ;)

Nintendo Mini
I saw this all over Facebook a few days ago. Seems everyone I knew was sharing the article. Looks kick ass, especially for the price.

Wasn't this done by Atari and Intellivision already a year or two ago?

Yes, but still...
There are several games there that I never got to.

Ouch! That does suck.

Also I hope you and yours are nowhere near this Amby.
I actually heard about this one before Baton Rouge. Hospital shootings are the phobia around here

Rags, I hope you and yours aren't anywhere near the horror in Baton Rouge.
We are all good, thanks for your concern.
We live an hour away from Baton Rouge. Although we did pass through there several times on our recent trips.Terrible horrible stupidity.
My best wishes and prayers for all involved.

Ouch indeed.
If your work day is even HALF that bad,... how do you cope without actually giving the guy a reason to NEED an emergency room?!?!?;P
I don't have nearly that much patience left anymore. Good for you! :)

Granted that is a worse case scenario, but it is depressingly common. One of the really sad features of addiction is that those afflicted with it become incredibly selfish and uncaring. Their addiction erases any shame, and they begin to treat everyone around them as a means to an end. I sympathize with their struggle, but it can really be hard to deal with someone who expects you to service their whims solely because they can't resist getting messed up on intoxicants.

My poor roommate. She got on a tea binge a few years ago and bought a nice fancy electric kettle, several types of tea brewers/strainers, and tons of canisters of expensive tea. She enjoys and savors them all.
So when I moved in and she went to restock tea, she kept asking what kinds I liked -- monkey-picked oolong, imperial green, earl grey creme, etc. I finally whispered Liptons. Yes, tea bags. So now she's got a pantry shelf full of lovely teas and I have a box of Liptons. Her kettle has several heat settings so each tea brews at the right temperature. I crank it up all the way, drop in my tea bags, and let it steep until coffee-colored. Then I load it with sugar and cream and have it as a meal.
She tries to civilize me, she really does. But at least her fancy teas are safe (except for blackberry mojito).

As I said, HOW you can manage to deal with people like that, however infrequently, without giving them an actual reason to NEED an emergency room, is beyond my mortal capacity. ;)
Patience is a virtue. Meditation helps. If you get easily wound up working at a hospital is not for you.
It's not just addicts. Even perfectly reasonable people can become berserk when a family member is sick and they perceive that their needs aren't being met to their satisfaction.
I had a woman screaming at the top of her lungs in the ER yesterday afternoon because she 'wasn't being seen quickly'. When I and my coworker thundered towards her at full tilt (not knowing the situation, just that someone was going ape sh!t) she looks at us and screams 'DON'T WORRY! I'M NOT GOING TO FREAK OUT!" Lol. If that is your definition of calm lady, I'd hate to see you upset.

Liptons do sell loose-leaf tea as well...

I use Lipton for my kombucha. It's cheap, and I need 32 bags per batch. The bacteria can deal, I'm just drinking their piss anyhow :D

LOL!
I actually like several different types of teas,
However, I still buy them all as needed in neat little tea bags.
Being civilized takes time and effort, and I'm running short on both at this point in my life. ;P
Currently I prefer Earl Grey in the morning, (THEN my coffee!)
If I drink tea later in the day/night it is usually Some flavor of Green tea.
Still, as much as I like tea (I used to be a tea-teetotaler. But then Grad school happened,...) ;P I NEEDS my coffee. I've managed to get it toned down to 1 or 2 (big) cups a day now, but I still needs those cups!
:)

LOL, Yes, I like to think that I'VE never done that. <Whistles>
But I know that when my kids are on the line, my wife's calm/sanity goes completely out the window.I manage to keep mine for much (ok at least a little) longer, but Mine goes too. ;P

Is...is there already milk and cream added? Does it come out room temperature, warm or hot? Because...I would like to interview this woman. For...purely scientific reasons, of course!
