Trying a dry run (nyuk) liquid diet today.

Breakfast: blended milk, yogurt, banana, dutch chocolate protein powder. No chunks, easy to make even half asleep, thin enough to get through straws, taking a long time to sip, filling, tasty. Success! Though I did skip the blackstrap molasses, which really should be in today's menu somewhere. Just couldn't handle them first thing in the morning.

So I'm not dressed for success...

Food tastes good no matter the clothing

And if you spill, just turn them back rightside out to hide it!

o_O OM NOM.

I'm making a list of TV shows and movies to watch during the week(s?) in bed. So far, I have mostly British shows:

  • Doc Martin
  • A Place to Call Home
  • Death in Paradise
  • Downton Abbey
  • Call the Midwife
Anybody have other suggestions for series available on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Watch voltron, gurl! It's the shiznitiest of nits.

Anything for adults?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Fringe, Warehouse 13, Hercules, Xena, Continuum, The 100, Cosmos, WW II in color, Sword Art Online, Young Justice, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, Flash, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Secret of Kells (A cool little movie), Moribito, Penny Dreadful, iZombie, Marco Polo, Star Wars the Clone Wars, Star Trek (all of them), Once Upon a Time, Secrets of Great British Castles, Transformers Prime, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Lost Girl, kolchack: the night stalker, Supernatural, Charmed, and that is all I could think of that are on Netflix. I am sorry that I could not come up with more.

The Devil is a Part Timer (Hilarious anime series) is not on Netflix, but you should be able to find it elsewhere. Full Metal Alchemist and FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood were not on the list because NetFlix does not have to full series. Look Elsewhere for it. Well worth the watch.

Good Luck Vampire Bite Treppa action figure!

Adults? You are asking that question HERE?!? ~walks off laughing~

Holy cow! Somebody watches a lot of TV! Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Thanks, but it's more Gila Bite. Still, any biting is good biting.

Treppa, you had better make up the Gilla Bite Treppa alias quick before someone else does.

That is only a small list. I did not add stuff from my DVD collection. If I did, then it would be 5 times longer. And my wife watches a lot more TV than I do. I blame video games.

Amazon Prime series -

Avatar the Last Airbender then The Legend of Korra, Vikings, Robotech, Angel Beats, Legion of Super Heroes, Stargate SG-1, Falling Skies, Batman, Rome, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Grimm, Orphan Black, The Man in the High Castle, Doctor Who, Superman, Spawn (not for everyone), and Blue Bloods.

Edit - Doctor Who should also be on NetFlix. Give it a go if you can.

Is THAT where angel beats went?!

Yep. I have not watched it yet. It is on the list because of your recommendation.

I only have a week or two! o_O

Sounds like some of my sessions... A pile of potato chips, a pile of cookies, a pile of something else...

There was some progress by having dip sauces and some non-chips to have to dip in them (like slices of cucumber) but chips are staying strong...

with my every-friday-group we managed to NOT it chips anymore but with my roughly-every-eights-saturday-group the amount of Chips, Gummibärchen, cookies etc. is terrible, one players brings apples to battle it but just adding fruits on top of to much sweets does not solve the problem really

Delays in Pathfinder sessions and then friends moving out, suspending (possibly permanently) Pathfidner campaign, significantly reduced the intake of junk food for me.

Gummibears happend from time to time, though more common were smurfs made of... something, something very sweet and soft.

Biting their heads off was fun...

Liberty's Edge

Vicar of Dibley! It's British, but still! I also recommend Psych and Republic of Doyle.

Treppa, since you only have a week or two, then I would suggest Naruto, Bleach, InuYasha, and Dark Shadows. They shouldn't take too long to watch. ~grins and runs from The Wrath of Treppa~

I can't believe I forgot about Eureka. Add that to your list, Treppa. Well worth the watch.

Silver Crusade

Treppa, have you watched House of Cards? I recommend it.

I watched the original (British, naturally :D) but haven't seen the Kevin Spacey version.

Silver Crusade

Definitely worth watching.

Dr who WAS on netflix,... not any more.

Hoping they bring it back. I don't have Amazon TV

I'm in the middle of Downton Abbey now.

I've heard good things about Daredevil

Note to self: V when you forget your sunscreen, don't be embarrassed and only borrow a little from your companion because you don't want to be a bother >.<

A 75% sunburn is still a frickin' painful sunburn.

Absolutely agreed,

Spent the morning walking around Huntsville's Botanical gardens. (They have a hobbit house!) But was wearing a hat to protect my head.

So when we went swimming later, only for an hour or so, I didn't bother with hat, sunscreen or my usual swimming shirt. (Ive been pretty pale lately, was looking forward to getting a LITTLE sun)

Yeah, the key word in that sentence was LITTLE,...

I'm not 'burnt' per se', but I did get my sun,... ;P

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I have eaten well, now I am going to crash down because it's long past my sleepy time. Well, not very long but the sun is up for hours now...

Also, I am overheating now... Will it be another day of high heat, high humidity? :/

Or was that the tea?

Still not down yet.

At the moment I am digesting those pork chops and potatoes...

I definitely recommend over doing it on the sunscreen. It is totally ok if you didn't get quite enough of a tan you can always get more sun later. However if you get TOO MUCH sun then you end up with sun damaged skin and that doesn't look good. No fixing that.

Alas, my monkey ancestors dwelt on an island close to the Arctic Circle known as the Hebredies. Since the sun there had all the power of a 25-watt bulb, they evolved without the helpful melanin that gives so many others a rich brown skin.

Yeah I'm usually very on top of the sunscreen thing. I just forgot mine, and I felt bad using my beach companion's supply. Which was stupid, but classic me.

Oh and....

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!!!

Time to go out and kill it.

Today is my daughter's 23(!!) birthday.

Yes I am old, so shut it :P

One thing I am happy about is having her young. I have friends my age just starting out with kids. I'd be exhausted

You are not old. Venerable or ancient maybe, but not old.

Not quite your age, but I can testify to the exhaustion. But, hey! That's what coffee is for.

Cool!

Congrats on her 23rd Bday!

My OLDest set of kids are already giving me grandkids. ;P (2 so far) ;)

My current set of kids are 'only' 13 and 16,... so learning to drive. ;P

I'm still young enough to have energy to deal with them. (mostly) But old enough not to be surprised by (almost) anything they do. >_<

What did you say Monkey? We are NOT old!

WE are 'well-aged'. :)

Like stinky cheese!

My Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be quite filled up from now on.
