It was... weird. But still somehow charming. Which is how I would describe Benedict Cumberbatch in general.
OKayyyy,...
I ALSO watched Dr Strange this Sunday. (For the first time for me)I now have to watch it again, I'm pretty certain there were some things I missed the first time through. (The son was asking a lot of questions, which I knew MOST of the answers to, but no one wanted me to pause and/or rewind whiel I answered them) ;P
It MAY be my (new) favorite as well. It was certainly a worthy pickup for a new 'leading character' in the Marvel Movie universe. :)
Glad to hear Logan was good. I'm looking forward to seeing that too.
My son just discovered the new trailer for Deadpool 2. Guess what he's waiting for. :/
What can I say, Doc Strange has been one of my favorite Marvel characters for years, going all the way back to 1988 when one of his solo series started up. And this movie was really good: great cast, a good story, awesome special effects, good pacing, great villains. In fact, I loved the way they portrayed Dormammu - kind of larger than life (as he should be), but at the same time recognizable for comic fans.
I saw it twice in the theater (the second time in 3D, just to see how different it was), then once the morning I bought it, then again on Sunday. I'll probably watch it again within another week or so.
Edit: And, yeah, that Deadpool 2 teaser was awesome. I missed seeing the first one in the theater. Hopefully, I can make up for it with #2.

P.S. - Yes it does, CH.
Chronicles of Darkness
I am not testing the extend of allowance for fan creations so no actual rules, though. Especially since getting patronage on Patreon.

How's he doing with that?
I'VE been trying magical hand gestures since third grade, (coincidentally, the year that I discovered magic super-heroes in the comics!) And It still isn't working for me! :(

Today I was further convinced that I have dwarf in my pedigree. I had to take a physical for my DOT medical certificate (to make sure I could drive a bus) and the doctor could not believe how much I weighed. He said I looked 100 pounds lighter. Called me the densest human being he had ever seen.
Ummm...thanks I guess? >.<
Funny thing is, dwarf is one of my least favorite fantasy races. Never really liked the grumpy money-grubbers.

Do elves grow beards? You never seem to see a hirsute elf portrayed.
In Middle-Earth elves were capable of growing beard, though it was rare. Cirdan the Shipwright had one. He was one of the oldest sentient beings in the world, though, as he might have been one of the first generation elves making him the oldest of humanoid beings (not counting Old Tom, Merry Tom as humanoid as he clearly is some sort of incarnated spirit, manifestation of the land itself).
Drow males in Eye Of Beholder I grow badass mustache.
Gorath from the Riftwar's Betrayal At Krondor wears a sort of badass beard. Apparently mordehel dark elves are more prone to facial hair than other elves...

Elves used to be my favorite fantasy race, probably since the first time I ever read The Silmarillion. However, over the years I've come to have more appreciation for dwarves. I never play them as "grumpy money-grubbers" though. I typically like either the noble(-ish) warrior-priest or (surprise, surprise) the brilliant and creative engineers/smiths.
Although, in more recent years, dwarven monks have become one of my favorites.

As someone who is kind of short, has long hair, looks good in a beard (even if I only tend to grow them in winter), uses axes, picks, and 20-30 lb hammers at work, and appreciates a strong work ethic. I get dwarves.
I never make them greedy and miserly though (for instance, my Dwarven Oracle for Iron Gods loves to gamble).

Speaking of Mass Effect... the Mass Effect Andromeda official launch trailer is out. Leave it to EA to use one of my all-time least favorite songs to promote one of my favorite IPs. Though, given their questionable song choices in the past, this one might be BioWare's fault.

I dreamed tonight (or rather in the morning as I went to bed around 9 am) of people asking me about writing more - specifically about continuation of what I wrote before.
I also dreamed of sudden influx of new patrons on patreon...
And then I dreamed of writing here (or on FAWTL) about dreaming of that two things...

Maybe I'll shoot for getting a PS4 around my birthday (a.k.a. Paizocon, a.k.a. Memorial Day Weekend). By then, I expect they will have patched any obvious bugs.

It's still weird touching my face and finding fur there
You'll get used to it. I've had my goatee for years. I've shaved it off a few times but always felt weird without it so grew it back. It just doesnt feel the same to rub my chin with no hair. And any REAL introvert should always be able to look serious and rub their chin!
