Nope, everyone's. New update Yesterday, they're working on it.

I'm with the monkey and Treppa.

I've been getting up at 5am (to get my family of to work and schools) and been working on this Sweeney thing until Midnight every night for the past 5 nights.

At one point I swear my lighting cues were re-writing themselves.
(They might have been, I'm convinced our light console likes the students better than me. OR it may have been 'Bob'. Our resident suit of armor that stands in the corner, which we have decided is actually our resident ghost!) :/

Maybe TONIGHT I'll get to go home and be in bed BEFORE midnight!

Maybe,... :P

I found some nice utilities to fix a Windows computer and was trying them on my haunted Windows 10 machine. The first one ran clean. The second one said another scan was running. What was running? Task mgr says: Windows 10 update. They just pushed an emergency update (forced) in the middle of my diagnostics. Now the update seems to be failing, then hanging. I downloaded the msu to run manually and decided to restart before installing to get a clean set of services without failed update statuses hanging about. So when I clicked the restart option: "Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer." And it's been spinning for 10 minutes. >_< I think Microsoft gets Windows ready by handing it a tube of lube. Not even drinks and dinner, man.

Looks like they pushed an emergency update for Win 10 after the fun Anniversary Update fiasco. Geek news is full of the story. Update KB4015438, if you're interested.

In the middle of diagnostics.

Without notification or confirmation.

Microsoft! *shakes fist*

Since my haunted machine is running slow on downloads and file saves, I decided to clean up unused files on the main drive. It has a 921MB capacity. Windows disk cleanup promised to free 4TB of space by deleting junk files.

On the bright side, at least Windows 10 doesn't completely bork your system on updates. At least, mine hasn't. I have to restart it a couple times until it gives up installing and reverts back to the previous build.

One thing I found is that some updates don't like having USB devices plugged in. Maybe remove any you have for the course of the update?

Downloading the Msu worked.

It's amazing a cultural construct I was involved in
My Tatar friend rode with me to her stop and mother henned me about taking care of my cold and drinking tea.

I sucked that attention up like a greedy sponge.

My manbaby was feeling quite neglected

Another Star Wars session finished!

Spoiler:
Miraculously we managed to steal a large freighter that was our target... Miraculously because again we managed to gathered a rather large collection of critical hits, and not enough hit points between three of us to fill the life bar of a moderately feed ewok...

I had two critical hits on me, though one was barely a scratch... No really, the roll was 14, –10 for my one rank of Durable talent, for a 04, the minimum critical hit result is 01–05, which inflicts 1 point of strain (I have a slightly above average Strain Threshold of 13, with 1 point of strain at that already suffered).

Going through two more groups of stormtroopers and a final "boss" fight with a sergeant and a lieutenant at the freighter's bridge ended with me getting the second critical hit and having 21 points of damage, 6 above my then Wound Threshold of 15 (thankfully, exceeding wound threshold only causes a critical hit, you only die when a critical hit says so when you are helpless and enemy deliberately finishes you). Still, I fulfilled my job as a Soldier/Commando by eliminating a total of 7 or 8 stormtroopers, including another sergeant, and soaking damage from the final fight that would eliminate our critical hit attractor Duros Spy and trouble seeker Miralan Pilot/Slicer, who were both at only a few points left (practically single hit away each).

I also managed to go through three rifles: Boo-hoo, I lost a heavy blaster rifle—which has Auto-Fire function—to Despair (critical failure/complication) result and had to do with regular blaster rifle, which was lost to another Despair. Thankfully at both times I had access to replacement blaster rifle taken from the not-yet-cold dead fingers of defeated stormtroopers.

I had quite a number of impressive rolls, actually: stabbing the first sergeant with a vibro-knife in neck (I was masquarading as Imperial officer while they were throwing my "slave" Miralan into the failing reactor to repair it), grabbed his heavy rifle, missed the first burst against the remaining three stormtroopers, soaked a shot, following with a devastating taking three-in-one burst (first Triumph). And then followed with a Triumph on convincing the freighter's first officer to turn on corrupt Empire and join the rebellion. There were more Triumphs... And more Despairs rolled...

And now I spend experience on being even more tanky... And even greater tankiness is coming with further xp!

Soak-soak the crit!

Back in my day, if we wanted to play in a PbP, we had to make a second account with a different e-mail just for our characters.

Back when I still had time on my hands.

So tired. Final Dress for Sweeney Todd tonight. (Opening night for university students I think)

On plus side, I actually managed to escape the building BEFORE midnight last night! (11pm, but still before midnight!) :/

Ah well, off to install one last LED and tweak more light cues!

My wife has a pin that says, "Move aside Coffee, this is a job for Alcohol!"

I disagree, which is why there's alcohol in my coffee.

(Specifically, I used O'Donnell's Cappuccino as cream. Sure it's only 15% alcohol, but it's bonus alcohol.)

Ugh. I just can't human today. Even typing hurts

Heh good news today. I got pulled over and did not get a speeding ticket and I just realized I am 100 posts away from 25,000 posts!

Fever broke. Sinuses draining. Thank the Divine Architect for a robust immune system

Now I have to ready myself to update my PbPs

And do my homework

I am oscillating between procrastination (i.e. writing something that I probably never publish, just because I can) and actual almost working (i.e. writing something that I might get published if certain publisher will like it enough, though it might fail to catch his attention... it's risky one).

Wow, I was one the razor's edge about going to the gym and had to force myself to go. Glad I went, best leg workout I've had since before I hurt my back in October!

Drugs don't quite match the Euphoria of a natural high. IMHO anyway. ;-)

Sweeney Todd Opening Night in 30 minutes.

Last Nights dress rehearsal was 'A Comedy of Errors' to put it politely.

Hopefully we got all of that out of our system. :P

I'm off to break a leg! (Preferably someone else's!)

Annnd,... I should go review my songs again,... yeah,....

:/

After last night, (And not getting out of the theater until midnight every night for the past week!) I did NOT go in to work this morning.

After getting everyone up and off to work/school, I went back home, parked myself on my comfy couch, and watched Dr Strange again! :)

SO worth it.

Ok, NOW I'm off to review my songs,... ;)

Almost six hundred words written...

I need two more paragraphs before I can sent it... Though I might extend it more...

Awesome. Good luck.

One day I hope to get back to my book...

Text finished and sent...

No idea when the response will be.

Also, a pre-final edit of another thingie showed up in my e-mail.

<.<

>.>

Maybe I won't starve 10 days from now anyway...

Maybe.

I wrote 1112 words today, not counting rewrites, oh-so-many rewrites...

Now the days and days of waiting if the answer will be "Yay! I love it! Send more!" or "Good, good, I might take it...", or "Meh"

I am myself to blame over this, I should have finished it and send almost a week ago...

I have my own writing to do tonight in the form of homework. Always with the dreaded homework.

Very crazy night. I picked up a shift at the hospital. There were a lot of issues, culminating with the security truck's alternator blowing while I was driving it. At least now I am at WHOI and hopefully the day will be less.

Wow. As long as they don't make YOU pay for the alternator it's ok then. ;P

Well, good news is I got the homework done. Bad news is I'm behind in my PbPs. *digh*

Back in the day, I had an '83 Camaro. Loved that car. At one point, the alternator went bad, and one of my fraternity brothers told me about this local place that could fix it for cheap. I brought the alternator to them and they rebuilt it for around $40. A week or two later, it started giving me trouble again and the worked it for free. After that, it didn't give me any problems.
