I could wait and just pay at the end. A lot of people do that, they call pay deductions 'a free loan to the government '. Me, I'd rather overpay weekly and get the excess back than try to come up with 3K all at once.

Post-birthday party brooding...

A friend with whom I spent large part of my last birthday listening to the music and holding her hand to cheer her up after her break up got engaged last week.

Lot of people who I thought will show couldn't came, some people I expected less showed up...

I haven't got the present I hoped for (and quite blatantly hinted I'd like to get - Numenara: The Tides Of Torment) due to low frequency and absence of people the most capable of organizing pools for presents. I was spoiled by last year when I got exactly what I asked for (X-Com 2)...

Before anyone comments, I am always brooding after birthday parties...

Actually, I am almost always brooding after parties and extended contact with multiple people at pubs and such.

Especially if it involved walk home.

Also, we are getting old...

Everyone was gone long before 11 pm.

Well, there was another group of acquaintances that came for birthday party of another acquaintance but I not felt like staying...

I was home (including the walk home) half past midnight or so.

Google maps tells me it was 9.03 km (5.61 miles). It's a route that I take occasionally, though I am rusty after winter not-walking-much.

Also, my shoes could have shrink a bit... Or my feet bloated. Particularly right small toe.

No one's here either?

To rant or not to rant?!

Brooding rant!

Like the batman!

Though with less brooding and more ranting...

And less heroism...

And less millions of dollars in reserve...

Hey, Drejk.

Just got back from the supermarket. Purchased four different teas and Rum and Amaretto to find the best combination. This was from Rysky's thread where adding alcohol to tea was discussed. Also, working on learning how to use Campaign Cartographer. So, no, I haven't disappeared. I'm just busy. Plus, it's 2100 here on the US' East Coast, so I imagine everyone's winding down for the night. Which I'm also about to do. Have a good night. :)

It's only past 3 am here...

It's 9:25 PM here in Pittsburgh.

Happy birthday, Drejk. I don't know which day it is, so I'm sorry if I'm late.

Happy belated.

Yes happy birthday Drejk. Don't brood overmuch. Life is a journey, yadda yadda.

My life's journey has led me once again to a parking lot. Ah hospital security. Making your parking lot safe from maurading addicts and rogue deer.

I have once again gotten behind on my games. I need to work on them tonight. Although I have to use the iPhone interface. Douchey.

Lots of homework to deal with as well. Only two months to go!

I bought my plane tickets to PaizoCon today. It's getting closer!

Pretty much the same as my job. Replace the marauding addicts and rogue deer with brainless College Kids and the Parking lot with a garage and there's my job. But, I can work on my programming projects, campaign notes, work on the anime I haven't watched yet, and so on.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREJK WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Clearly, you need a dose of BatDad in your life. He does brooding humor very well.

We got a break this year, sort of. Since I got laid off back in July, we only owe around $3K this year. WOOT!

Yeah those child credits are nice

Yeah,... I'm starting to worry (not yet,...) what I'm going to do in a year or 3, my oldest is getting close to graduating High School, Most I can claim her after that is for a few years of college. ;)

After that, Uncle Sam starts getting even greedier! ;P

I actually make so little, that with 2 kids I NEVER owe anything, I usually get back more than I paid in taxes.

The STATE however,... Somehow it doesn't matter HOW much you get back from Uncle Sam, the State of Louisiana makes certain that you owe SOMEthing. Even if it's only $1. :/

I swear, I can't make this stuff up. :)

happy belated birthday, Drejk

Thank you, thank you, and thank you...

Happy belated Birthday. And happy birthday for next year, in case I miss it.

Reaper The Extinction... Destroy world for fun and profit fun and your Horseman!

Feeling tired. Good night, all.

Happy belated Birthday, Oh Great Red Wyrm!

The concerts this weekend were a big success! I may put a video or two out on Facebook, for those who know me there.

I do a lot of concerts, but this one was different somehow. I think it's because I really had to push myself to tackle some really demanding solo work (demanding, but very well suited to me). Also, they really went all out bringing in some top notch instrumentalists.

Now it's a little bit of a let down. Like, why am I not doing more at that level?

CH, I'm sorry I missed it, the wife got emotional this weekend and we kinda just glared at each other for a while. Then we discovered doctor strange, so that helped us make up.

We watched Dr. Strange too! (On Sunday)

It was... weird. But still somehow charming. Which is how I would describe Benedict Cumberbatch in general.

Saw Logan yesterday. What a magnificent movie.

Installed Blood 2...

After a crappy intro and early start I died almost immediately...

Apparently there was no way to quickly restart the game and no way of skipping the intro. Which, despite being rather old game was rather clunky in working on 2014 laptop... Nope. Uninstall.

I also watched this movie on Sunday, with my boy. First time seeing it for him, fourth time for me. To say it is one of my favorite Marvel movies might be an extreme understatement.

This kind of feels like a metaphor for the current political landscape.

This looks like something that would work very well in the Rifts universe or the Nightbane universe.

P.S. - Yes it does, CH.

Or one of the Superhero game systems.

OKayyyy,...

I ALSO watched Dr Strange this Sunday. (For the first time for me)

I now have to watch it again, I'm pretty certain there were some things I missed the first time through. (The son was asking a lot of questions, which I knew MOST of the answers to, but no one wanted me to pause and/or rewind whiel I answered them) ;P

It MAY be my (new) favorite as well. It was certainly a worthy pickup for a new 'leading character' in the Marvel Movie universe. :)

Glad to hear Logan was good. I'm looking forward to seeing that too.

My son just discovered the new trailer for Deadpool 2. Guess what he's waiting for. :/

My son's been doing casting motions with his hands for days now.
