16-hour shift done. Now time for nap
Good night Treefort!
Good night moon!
Good night Drejk! (and go to sleep!)*blink*
Actually I wrote that after getting up past 4 am after having slept for ... Six hours I think? I went to bed in the afternoon and slept a few hours. Got woken up by a second call from my father who just had to discuss how I would like to rebuild my flat (for a money I don't have) and then went back to sleep and slept some more, though as usual for me, with lot of holes where I wake up, stir, fall asleep again, rinse, repeat.

That post was talking about the first of many failed RPG Superstar items. I'm glad I found other places on the site. ;)
Well, you did come up with at least one non-failed RPG Superstar item in the end. ;)

You can always watch Isabella Rosellini do a blow by blow description *
*Kinda NSFW........Or sanity for that matter.
Yeah for the first time I don't even have the tiniest bit of curiosity.
takes GM III to Aranna's house
evades Rick Dom II and Accguy protecting Arannian airspace, shoots down Geara Zulu protecting her home
ejects core fighter, pilots deftly down her hallway, leaps out near her computer to *click* on link before returning to core fighter and then mobile suit to engage the Accguy and Doms that have locked on to my location

Stopped at Newbury Comics, then a quick spin over to Medieval Starship. Then a quick slice to go at Regina Pizzareia. All while making $18/hr. Life is good.

We switched to burner phones and only told our parents.
The best part is, when I switched I got some guy's phone number that 1) lived in the same town 2) had the same first name, and 3) was really bad about not showing up for work at his three jobs, because all three bosses would call me and ask why I wasn't at work. And I'm standing there hip deep in a hole I've been digging for an hour so I can plant the tree, saying "...But, I am at work..."
It was pretty weird, even for my high tolerance for weird.

I've been watching Fear The Walking Dead. Never read the graphic novel, or watched it's originator series (which I realize is the graphic novel), any who, it's pretty good so far (2 episodes down) I really like the cinematography, there's quite a few shots where you could definitely see it as from a graphic novel.
That's not easy to do, bravo!

As a fan of all three, you have to keep in mind:
1. Although supposedly the same, the original graphic novel and the series are no longer the same except in broad plot outlines.
2. Just as in Game of Thrones, you really need to divorce the twain from each other. They are like twins. They might look the same, but they are not. If you expect the video adaption to slavishly follow the written story you will be disappointed.
2. Fear the Walking Dead gets a lot of crap from Walking Dead fans. My theory is that since it isn't the Walking Dead, it will always fall short in their eyes. As you seem to have experienced, considering it as a stand-alone without any preconceived expectations it is quite well done.

T-Minus 26.5 hrs before I begin my journey to GenCon. 37 years in the making.
The power of positive thought and visualization cannot be overemphasized people. I know it sounds all New Agey and hippy-dippy, but the SH!T WORKS!
I visualized going to GenCon. I let nothing get in my way. I still have some anxiety about the financials, but by having faith I have everything I need covered as long as I don't go nuts and buy every book off the shelves.
Namaste b!tches!

This is my last day before starting back watching my girls every evening. It's been a painful vacation without that pay and I've missed them, but I'm going to take today for myself, dammit. Packing up a cooler full of water and nutrients and heading across the Continental Divide to see what's on the other side. It's supposed to storm in the afternoon, so best to get out there quick, because lightning in the mountains is no joke.

#2(the first one) really hurt me, as I'm sure mark can verify. I do not watch the tv show and avoid most tv fans. It mag be haughty of me, but the pacing of the TV show is not for me and I disapprove of many of the casting choices and creative decisions. To me, the only thing the shoe got right was the red viper vs the mountain. And that's it.

I think of it like this. I love the books, but if GRRM had made GoT as a TV show without ever writing the books, I'd still love it. In fact, I think the Mereen plot line in the TV show is much cleaner than it was in the books. And next season we finally get to see the Coming of the Silver Queen to Westeros....

it's all yours man. I do wonder how things would go if it was a tv series and not a novelization.
