Does anyone else feel like we need another pirate based, sea fairing campaign?

Not unless it's spelljammers.

Sea faring would be neat. I'd prefer it to more "Oddysey like" than pirate based though (I don't really see the attraction of pirate scenarios).

I definitely don't think we need another S&S; not for a long time, anyway.

A seafaring campaign of some other sort (such as an expedition to the remains of Azlant) would be awesome, though.

I'd totally go for another pirate campaign, absolutely.

Maybe if we can finally have the great Pathfinder Pirates vs. Ninjas Battle :)

No.

Maybe an Andoren Merchant Marine campaign instead?

+1 on Recklass. I'd rather see an Andoran Anti-piracy campaign.

Always!

The blessing of FSM's noodley appendage upon those who support his chosen!

My preference would be a southern Garund-Jalmarey-Vudrani thing where PCs are either preying on, defending, or otherwise interacting with ships / trade / conquest in these areas and sneaking us a bit more info on those areas in the process.

No.

There are enough unexplored concepts in Golarion (and in fantasy as a whole) that we shouldn't need to retread old ground yet.

Nah.

Totally down for more maritime stuff, but piracy? Eh.

I'd rather see an exploration AP, or some maritime version of Kingmaker, or a "search for Azlant" or the like.

Pirates? Eh.

I do love me some pirates . . .

But I think I'd be more down for an island-hopping adventure involving Azlant for sure.

Perhaps you should look at the Razor Coast campaign that came out.

If you need something piraty, Razor Coast is an amazing product as stated above. It also provides a sandbox; how-to story.

While enamoured with the western view of piracy and S&S, I would chime in with the above: No more straight piracy (Freeport-Razor Coast) but many more MARITIME adventures, please.

Exploration on the coast lines.
There are jungles, forests, whatevers and the sea is the easiest way to explore, and most direct. A trip through a river in a ship or raft, whether it is in a cold, temperate or tropical climate. Preferably exploring the Azlant/Arcadia/Australian continents.

Kingdom AP at sea.
Expand on the rules of mass ship combat from S&S (which are not very good) and build upon it. Battles which expand accross several ships that are engaged in melee, a chaos where 10 ships have rammed each other, the fire is spreading and there needs to be some rallying of troops, or to cut a line through the confusing melee to reach a goal.
Back to exploration (Azlant would be..amazing, there are a few suggestions flying in other threads about Azlant), your party is sent as representatives of a Nation/Company into an unknown/exploitable land and get a steady influx of supplies. Yet you are not the only ones, other Nations/Companies have landed along the coast/islands and are competition. Harass supply lines, make pacts and temporal alliances to be broken at earliest convenience, face the locals (wildlife/cultures) or befriend them. Combine the going up a river, dedicated to one AP book in a raft to explore what is ahead.

All with strong emphasis on maritime. Expand the aquatic bestiaries, especially the amphibious. With a healthy amount of battle at sea or water around. Possibly Kingom Maker style but with sea control (Azlanti or islands domains would be best here).

...hoping. I volunteer to write some of it even :P

If you really need another pirate AP, I'm going to recommend Razor Coast. I keep meaning to steal stuff from it. In fact, if I ever do run Skull and Shackles, it'll likely be blended with Razor Coast.

Oh, come on. I think we need a, a Varisian pirates AP. It has to start with the PCs shanghaied onto a ship captained by Raul Vancaskerkin, and the Runelords have to be involved somehow, and--yeah, gotta go mythic.

Spoiler:
The above was written with tongue firmly in cheek, in case it wasn't obvious.

That's a really odd way to spell Linnorm Kingdoms.

Actually, a Viking-sort of AP could be pretty awesome. Starting off with minor raiding, then escalate to exploring Arcadia (and trying to get past the Mordant Spire elves).

I would concur with the idea of a seaborne exploration or colonization AP (Azlanti isles seems the best idea).

And I further agree that those who seek more piratey lovin' look to Freeport and Razor Coast, both of which support Pathfinder Pirates with a wide breadth of Pathfinder material. Mix that up with River into Darkness and Plunder and Peril, S&S1 elements and The Shackles, and ... well. You have an embarrassment of riches to draw upon, really.

So much so that Pirate campaigns are probably the most over-served genre in Pathfinder right now, with lavishly illustrated and top-notch 3rd party material, too. Written by many of the same freelancers who would write another AP in any event.

There are other itches which need scratching, I think.

Andoran anti-slavery pirates!

A Darwinesque "Voyage of the Beagle" campaign might be fun. I know they don't plan on a non Inner Sea AP, but the first could start off somewhere in Avistan. Eventually make your way around Garund by book two or three. Maybe a pirate cameo thrown in. Book 4 and 5 would be far off the beaten path in unexplored territory. Book 6 the party has to make their way back and confront the king/queen/whatever that hired and subsequently betrays them for some reason.

Make it adult-oriented.

No more puns for Pennywit, somebody's got to cut him off before he hurts someone with them.
