How does Freedom of Movement interact with anchoring weapons?

For instance, an enemy with an anchoring weapon uses it on a PC who has Freedom of Movement.

Well, Freedom of Movement is a spell you're going to get a lot of variation and argument over, but I think it's reasonably clear that it should be effective against an anchoring weapon based on it being "magic that usually impedes movement".
