is this not the first Mythic Monsters supplement in which none of the monsters are in the Mythic Monster Manual?

You are quite correct: NONE of the content in this book has appeared in any other mythic product, including the Mythic Monster Manual.
And nicely done with the suggestion! :)
I'm looking forward to the Evil Clerics one, and I like the sound of the Mythic Daemons. The fiction by Todd 'Shemeshka' Stewart is just icing on the cake.

I do rather enjoy writing about horrifically evil creatures. *innocent*
Hopefully it sets the stage thematically for the critters in the book (which are awesome, and I pity PCs that encounter them). :D

The final text is in, but we're waiting on the last few illustrations to get finished. Still on track for release by the end of the month!
