Before anybody can help you we need to know what you need help with and some things about your game:
Are you rolling for stats or do you have a point-buy?
At what level are you creating the character?
What books are you allowed to use?
Any specific rules you will be using?
Desna is a great deity for adventurers and the Luck and Travel Domains are about the best there is, so you're good in that area.
Linked the guide you are using here (easier for everybody else to get to).
And here's another great cleric guide that I think you should read (some really good tips here)

You need to focus as a cleric to do anything much of consequence, otherwise you end up a buffer and healer. Building a reach cleric means focusing on attacks of opportunity to do your damage. You need a very high dex, and feats to further expand your reach. A good thing is that you get to keep your normal actions in the round for whatever you like, so buffing is easy, optimally you want things that make you bigger and stronger. You also need to optimize your to hit, meaning a high strength, otherwise you will be good for a few levels, then all your attacks won't mean much. You must also get your damage up by some convenient means, whether through equipment, strength, buffs, or feats. All this means you really have little wiggle room when it comes to your other attributes. Wisdom needs to be decent to let you cast your buffs, but the feats involved mean you aren't going to be a good blaster or summoner or the like. Shelyn is a good deity for reach builds, because the favoured weapon is glaive.

However! A longspear is a perfectly respectable weapon.
A dex of 14 is generally sufficient. Improved initiative is often not that critical as enemies will literally run on your spear if you just stand in front.
Are you human?
You might consider starting feats of combat reflexes and bodyguard, which I didn't see in the guide, and one of the varieties of helpful trait, or if you need to heal in combat merely combat reflexes and selective channeling.
The recommended point buys encourage dumping int and cha. In my experience as a Desnan cleric you it's gonna take everything you have to save your party from themselves - whether that's diplomamancy, healing, the liberation domain, or just plain frickin being the only one still standing (usually because of will saves...).
I really hate part of the min max of that guide. Ant int 7 human has the tactics domain? Really?
The emphasis on acrobatics seems silly to me. Let them come to you and stick with your party. Get full plate and burn the feat if you're going high levels. You'll want it.
For example level 1
str 16 (incl +2 racial)
dex 13
con 12
int 10
wis 14
cha 14
Combat Reflexes, Selective Channel
But this character would also be the primary healer - possibly going so far as to take a headband of channeling, extra channel, selective channel, etc. but at a minimum able to get a party through those tough fights at levels 1-3. 1d8+4 is actually usually enough to drop or near drop a foe at level 1-3.

True, usually, the difference between that and a glaive would just be 1 average damage.
Take the better weapon if it is readily available (ie- you have martial proficiency, and you can freely choose between weapons) but don't bother losing anything too major over it (ie- Desna's absurdly good domains). Reach alone is mostly enough to cover your problems.
