For everyone who may be reading, this year I will be on the Paizo Gauntlet team! We have a team page and I also have an individual page. You can find mine here and get to the team page through it. I will be personalizing it a bit more soon.

What's your favorite Star Finder alien? (You can mention "my two!" without saying, but I'm also curious about other than those two! You can reveal which two after the book ships! Please!)
It IS my 2! Haha, but I think it would be the Lashunta. Mainly because I feel like I named the iconic. There was a call for suggestions and I sent Raya. Her name ended up being Raia so not quite the same but similar enough that I like to believe my suggestion inspired it (though no one has ever explicitly told me that).

Oh! Cool!

I really like her, too - she was cool enough to inspire my wife's first SF charater (Estralla - distinctly different, but still reminiscent sound) a pop singer. So, good job!

Guess what I got for Father's Day~!

Also, are you allowed describe your aliens, now? I'm really curious!

Was it a tie!?

I don't think I can describe them until there is a blog or something about them. All of us in CS did aliens in this one so we have suggested an AA3 blog featuring the CS team and our creatures. We will see if that happens or not.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Wanna knoooooooooowwwwwwwwww.

(And it was not a tie. It was the Alien Archive 2. I do not recieve ties anymore, because people know that I don't wear them. Also, I have enough shirts, and they're almost all t-shirts, and people keep getting me pretty much exclusively those, and I don't go clothes shopping - ever, if I can help it - so. :D)

Are you saying our theories about Katina flooding the Paizo offices with spinning creepy children are true?

Any rumor or theory about Katina is probably correct.

Page numbers or it didn't happen.

Mostly because I couldn't find you reference what characters you'd made for 2nd edition.

Congratulations on the aliens!

Only one of them is a PF2 character.

Page 150. The Duelist Fighter. She is one of my most very favorite characters and I have played many incarnations of her in various tabletop and video games. A couple of the colors are off. Like all of my characters she is Chicana and should be a little darker and have dark brown hair. In any case I am super psyched that she is in an official Paizo product!

Page 208. The Conjurer Wizard. This is one of my PF2 playtest characters, and easily my favorite one!

Yay!

Out of curiosity, who's yard do I have to landscape to get one of my characters drawn up for a future book?

Her name is Aña (ah nyah) Ilnica (ihl nee kuh). She was not a PF2 playtest character. In the home game I played with my group back in New Mexico the Varisians were closest to us, so we kind of turned them into nomadic New Mexicans. Aña is Varisian. Being basically northern New Mexicans we determined that Varisians have their religion pretty baked in to their culture, so most of them are some degree of religious, and even those that are not often acknowledge it in their daily lives. In keeping with all that we determined that they treat Desna as their God figure and the Empyreal Lords as Catholic saints (meaning they are not to be worshiped like deities, but are for talking to and asking for intervention on your behalf). So Aña is pretty religious. Something you can't see in the picture is that on her palms Aña has tattoos of the holy symbols of Falayna and Ashava, her primary patrons, so that they can "guide her hands". Aña herself is very easygoing and prefers to enjoy life. She tends to have an "it is what it is", "the world will keep on spinning", and "we'll burn that bridge when we get to it" view of life and the things she encounters. She is also a very smooth talker and while she is very competent with a sword (she started her Pathfinder life as a Fighter/Duelist but once the Advanced Class Guide came out she became a Swashbuckler) she prefers words.

The dwarf is Dolgrin Rogar. Dolgrin is my favorite of my PF2 playtest characters (several don't have names beyond things like 'stabby' because they were mostly for combat/mechanics tests and didn't do any real roleplay). He owns a bar and discovered a forgotten(?)/abandonded(?) spellbook in one of the rooms when cleaning it up. Knowing how wizards are he feels like he needs to return it. So he carries it with him and is out looking for the owner. In the evenings he feels compelled to look at it even though it is all gibberish to him (this is how he memorizes his spells). He doesn't know he is a wizard and spells are mostly conjurations that he casts by emotion (mostly bar themed, like rats he may find and have to deal with in the cellars). Basically when he has strong or intense emotions, like going into combat, things appear. He doesn't really know why. He served in the army and often talks about that. He was a cook in the army but the way he talks suggests he was a soldier, though he never outright claims to have been. Not many other wizards wear medium armor and wield a battleaxe (poorly).

Oh that’s cool.

I’d say the Empyreal Lords would really like that setup ^w^

And Dolgrin sounds interesting as well.

Question 1) how do I make this happen
Question 2) do you have a link to Starfinder Wednesday?

What an awful thing for John to say. It's WALK of shame. Puns have no place in a good persons repertoire. Usually I do it by shouting something like, "Did you see that truck? It excavated the crap out of that car!" when playing games like Spider-Man. But one of the best ways is to tell him how sad it makes me when he says there is no such thing as sea turtle mines. In Civ 6 I have tons of them. They're real John!

Starfinder Wednesday is at 4pm on the Paizo Twitch channel.

Blarg! I managed to get on briefly while it was happening, but then my Internet went down and my phone died during a thunder storm!
(I got back on apparently after it was over.)

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow (Thursday, August 22) I will be interviewed on Arcane Mark at 7pm pacific. We will probably chat about a variety of things. Tabletop RPGs definitely, but very possibly my numerous toys as well! So if you're interested in seeing what I look like and listening to me chatter about things, tune in!

Ask "anything"? OK...

Which was the very first Transformer that grabbed your imagination?

Which Transformer figure is your favorite?

Which Transformer character is your favorite?

Which upcoming Transformer figure -- excluding Unicron -- are you most eagerly anticipating?

Customer Service Representative

I am just a tiny bit too young to have seen the original run of the Transformers cartoon. I was 3 years old in 1984. But I watched it a lot in reruns. I also had a pretty close to entire collection of the Marvel comic. I'd say like most kids it was probably the Dinobots. I mean, robots that turn into dinosaurs! Is there a kid on this planet that DOESN'T love that?

But my favorite Transformer has always been Jazz and if I could pick a bot to meet it would be him. I was also pretty fond of Prowl. As a general rule I enjoy bots that have beast modes more than ones that have vehicle modes. So the Predacons and Seacons have always been a favorite as well. I have a growing appreciation for Victorion and the Rust Renegades that make her up. I am really psyched that the number of times Pyra Magna has been mentioned in the IDW relaunch comics this year has me excited that at least she, but hopefully all of them will show up.

I think my favorite of my toys is either the Jazz that came with the Generations Ultimate Gift Set. I really like the color scheme for him. Or my First Edition Arcee (First Edition is part of the name, and not a descriptor). Transformers Prime is my favorite of the various series and I really like her design. I really like all of the Aligned universe designs, especially the War for/Fall of Cybertron games. I do have some third party (I know...) Dinobots that are the Fall of Cybertron versions, and I really really love them.

The toys I am most looking forward to are the upcoming Generations Select release of the Seacons. They have announced Snaptrap, and Skalor (though with their alternate names). There has not been a new mold of the Seacons since their original release in 1988 (they have been rereleased twice since then, but both were reissues of the 1988 toys with one reissue being recolored). So these will be the first new official toys of them in 30 years.

Have you seen The Good Place, and if so, what do you think of it?

I have not seen The Good Place. I have heard good things about it though, and I really like Kristen Bell. I'll have to see if I can find it streaming somewhere and give it a watch.
