Even vanilla fighters can be amazingly powerful.

Racial Heritage:Ogre.

Then, Corrupted Flesh, Fetid Breath, Raging Brute, and Vestigial Head.

This works especially well with mutation warrior I think.

Ok, the rock flinging guy is hilarious. That's actually a surprising amount of damage there for just throwing rocks....
Here's a full rock thrower build if you're interested.
Okay, now this makes me wonder why this isn't in your crazy gallery.

Huh? Both of them ARE in the gallery...

I missed the Racial Heritage:Ogre PC?!?

And how are any of these character concepts fit into the "boring human fighter"?! Racial attunements, archtypes, obscure options from obscure books. How is this any different than the "suli fire elementalist druid multi-classed with monk and crossblooded sorc"? LOL To me, the "boring human fighter" means selecting only options in the CRB and flavor them to make them colorful.

@ckdragons

the point is to make the classic "boring human fighter" not boring, to prove that any concept can be made cool if you know what youre doing.

He wanted to surprise his group with "yeah im a human fighter" which seems boring, then reveal that he still does all kind of crazy things.

He wouldnt need an advice thread to make a boring human fighter with a greatsword and power attack.

Making a character "non-boring" has 100% to do with roleplaying and 0% to do with weird feats / powers, etc... My girlfriend just played through our Second Darkness campaign with a Human Fighter and absolutely rocked every part of the campaign with her Ex-Chelish Slave Gladiator.

@shroud

some people are happy to feel that way, but some people want more to do in combat than "I take a 5 foot step and full attack". Especially in a combat heavy campaign, having cool options to use in combat can make a character much more satisfying to play.

I myself mostly play necromancers, but i enjoy playing classes like the Death Knight so that i have a variety of responses to things that occur. Sometimes i like to just throw my minions at someone, sometimes i like to be able to challenge them to a duel and have a reasonable chance of winning.

Mutation Warrior , vestigial arm , tower shield , 2-h weapon :)

Convincing the DM to use the Background Skills variant from Unchained can make your Fighter's skills a lot more interesting. {. . .}

Wow, how did I miss that part of Pathfinder Unchained? This helps everybody, but proportionately is of more help to those who have low skill ranks per level and who are not INT-based casters. Would sure make some of my builds easier, since I always seem to wind up skill-starved. Now if only they had Background Feats, since I usually also end up feat-starved (although at least Fighter itself helps with that).

Wow folks! A lot of great advice here. There's some stuff that I don't think works like that, but most of it is pretty much the kind of thing we were looking for. Still reading and checking, but wow!

Yes, we both are fairly decent at running an interesting personality. But also yes, part of the point was to demo an unexpectedly interesting build.

Racial Heritage:Kitsune and Magical Tails. All of them.

If you decided to also do the "Unarmed Fighter" archetype, then you could pick up Kitsune Style from the Dirty Tactics Toolbox

How did I miss Racial Heritage:Kitsune and then Fox Shape, culminating with Vulpine Pounce while he's at it.
