Bag of Marbles

Rules Questions

Just got a quick question. How many marbles would roughly be in a bag? Got a character I'm making, and unfortunately I need to know how many he'd have for the concept I'm making. Any thoughts?

This is a hard one to answer raw. Or even rai. Its intentionally nebulous because it's never mattered before. Someone quoted 1 lb of marbles as 100, but that also depends on the size and material of the marble. Is your marble glass, stone, lead, steel, marble, ivory? 1/4 inch? 1/2 inch? 1 inch diameter?

I'd say, given that kineticists don't damage the item unless they use it as a special material, that a bag of marbles will last an adventure before you lose enough to make a difference. I assume youre a tele.

Go with 50 for ease and consistency.

@Nefreet: Thanks for the link, that does help some. I was honestly thinking about 50/bag anyway, as that would match up with bundles of arrows/bolts/bullets/what-not, so that makes it a bit easier for me.

20+ 1" per pound for glass.
50+ 3/4"
80+ 5/8"
120+ 9/16"

There is a site called marblesmarbles that sells marbles by the pound so it's pretty easy to figure out.

EDIT: If we go by the special material rules from pathfinder #71, it's easy to figure out other materials. Glass is 75% the weight of base items of their type.

So 'normal' metal ones would be.

15 1"
38 3/4"
60 5/8"
90 9/16"

How many do you need?
