Now that I think about it, most people agreeing that Con is their "dump stat" is probably the biggest departure between the RPG and the ACG I've noticed thus far.
Though I am fairly certain that the answer would be different if this choice were made in Skull and Shackles. :)

I've taken two groups (both 4 characters) through AD2, I'm working on a third (also 4 characters) at the moment. I too have skipped Con thus far. Generally, I make sure that everyone gets a medal for their primary stat. Thus far that has been Str, Dex, Cha, and either Int or Wis. The 5th medal comes down to which off stat is most useful to most characters. So far, that has been either Int or Wis, though I'd probably pick Con if I was in a group where more than one character had the Fortitude skill.
I do have another group consisting of Valeros (CD), Imrijka, Seoni, and Zarlova that will probably take Con over Dex for reasons similar to what JBiggs said.

My party was spread out enough to where I needed everything other than Con as primary stats.
Alain: Str, some Cha
Balazar: Str and Cha for sure; Int is less critical for my summoner as it only anchors Knowledge, and I have both Knowledge mains in this group.
Enora: Int
Harsk: Dex and Wis
Seoni: Cha (and some Wis and Int)
Shardra: Wis
If I'd had a second Fortitude character, I would have left Dex out instead.

One thing that gave us some pause was khorramzadeh's con/fortitude 12 check.... Damn... Hehe.. But we remember yoda - "hard to see the future is"... So went with primary needs first.
I'd have imagined con playing a greater part in character survival. Guess it's hard to reflect in this kind of game mechanic. Maybe if damage taken was influenced by con somehow... Like a +1 reduced card damage by 1 or if you roll con above 6 reduce 1 dmg...

Con/Fort is used to acquire armors; in general they are easy to get but maybe high deck number armors will be quite hard to pick up.

Actually - but maybe it's because I only play with a large group, armors have never been seen as important cards in our group.
Idea being: large group = not much turns to play = better not lose a fight = better only have cards to increase chances to win than cards to manage defeats (because anyway, in many case, a lost fight is not far from a lost turn and is a big step to a lost scenario).
I'm pretty sure the equation is different if you have a small party.
So I agree in large groups Constitution certainly doesn't have the importance it could have... up to now.

I'm excluding Constitution on my duo Andowyn Seoni playthrough although I did pick up an extra Armor for Seoni with the AD2 card feat. The +1 really isn't going to make a huge difference for acquiring awesome armor though, and Con/Fort checks don't seem to be as prevalent in WotR as they were in S&S. If there's a check I really want to not fail, I'll be throwing blessings at it instead of relying on a +1 making the difference.
