Agna: Flavour text vs. rules (or: Where's my bear? They said there was a bear!)

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Agna the ranger's flavour text mentions her using a trained bear, and to expect Agna to be around if you hear an eagle's cry in a dungeon. Agna is pictured with a fierce looking boar. These are the only animals either mentioned in the flavour text or pictured.

Guess which three animals do *not* appear in Agna's class deck?

I mean, do the eagle, bear or boar come out as animal ally promo cards for Agna or something? Or is this just a mismatch?

Will rewrite as:
Agna can make you think she’s your biggest threat—right before a trained animal of some sort attacks you from behind. If you hear the cry of an animal of some other sort but definitely not a bear or eagle in a dungeon, expect Agna to be close at hand.

FYI, the musk ox, leafy seadragon, and Indominus Rex also do not appear in Agna's class deck.

(Also, flavor text has no game effect. Sorry for making you think those cards should be in the deck.)

I remember being in love with Rotr and decided to show it to my friend who loves MMORPGs and he instantly picked Lini.

We didn't actually get to play, because his Basic Deck didn't include a Tiger Ally as her Token card suggested..

Show it to him again as now he could take Droogami (btw, not a tiger anyways).

Now, if we ever manage to get the Pathfiner Battles Semi-Iconic Heroes Sets containing all the class deck characters, Agna's owner card needs to somehow contain all those animals. Perhaps some sort of platypus type creature that is all 3 combined into one.

Okay.

I always imagined Agna's animal attack was something more along these lines.

Okay.

That's... I quit.

Maybe in the future the sabre-toothed tiger, dog and snow leopard cards could be replaced with mechanically equivalent bear, eagle and boar cards (although I guess that means three more pictures in your art budget, so maybe it would be cheaper to redraw Agna and change her flavour text a bit).

Anyhow, no biggie - I just found it amusing.

Or a variation of a manticore with the head of a boar, the body of a bear and wings of an eagle

We're more likely to just leave it alone under the principle that flavor text has no bearing on game play.
