Stupid Feat Question

Rules Questions

I've been playing Pathfinder for almost 3 years nowbut I seem to have forgotten something that could potentially be important and for some reason I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

When you gain 2+ feats at the same level (Like a 1st level Human Fighter or a Half-Elf taking a second level of Fighter at 5th), can one of them be a prerequisite for another?

You can, in general. Though if they come from different sources (say, fighter bonus and level), you get one of them first (the exact order can be found in the CRB under classes), so you can't take the first if you don't qualify even with the second.

To be clear, this means that if I add another Fighter level to a Fighter1/Cleric3, I can get Combat Expertise as my Fighter bonus feat and get Spring Attack as my 5th level feat?

They are both combat feats so you can take then both with either your normal feat or your bonus feat. Combat expertise is not a prerequisite for spring attack. If you were thinking mobility it is also a combat feat.

This is all the PRD says on the matter:

Spoiler:

Prerequisites
Some feats have prerequisites. Your character must have the indicated ability score, class feature, feat, skill, base attack bonus, or other quality designated in order to select or use that feat. A character can gain a feat at the same level at which he gains the prerequisite.

A character can't use a feat if he loses a prerequisite, but he does not lose the feat itself. If, at a later time, he regains the lost prerequisite, he immediately regains full use of the feat that prerequisite enables.

And looking at the fighter class, it doesn't really specify an order either:

Spoiler:

Bonus Feats: At 1st level, and at every even level thereafter, a fighter gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement (meaning that the fighter gains a feat at every level). These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats, sometimes also called “fighter bonus feats.”

Whoops! I'm so caught up in the two feat chains I'm giving this character I didn't realize that only the highest link needed Combat Experise (Whirlwind Attack). Spring Attack and Whirlwind Attack both need a BAB of +4, which I won't have until 5th level. And since I also need Combat Reflexes by then, Whirlwind Attack is pushed back to 7th... By that point, it'll be the only feat I get that level, so this question is kinda moot...

Actually, I found what he was talking about. It's under "Advancing Your Character".

This isn't all the PRD says on the matter. As Arcturus24 pointed out, it can be found in the CRB, under classes.

PRD, CRB, Classes wrote:

When adding new levels of an existing class or adding levels of a new class (see Multiclassing, below), make sure to take the following steps in order.

First, select your new class level. You must be able to qualify for this level before any of the following adjustments are made.
Second, apply any ability score increases due to gaining a level.
Third, integrate all of the level's class abilities and then roll for additional hit points.
Finally, add new skills and feats. For more information on when you gain new feats and ability score increases, see Table: Character Advancement and Level-Dependent Bonuses.
