Allow Retraining of Traits and Blessings, for your God's sake!

I have a Level 5 Warpriest (Archer) of Shelyn who would like to redevote to Erastil, give up Fate's Favored, and take Deadeye Bowman trait.
I think, from what I have read and been told, this is impossible. Also, it appears I would lose the Blessing I took that's luck based, and be unable to replace it.
I would not lsoe Fate's Favored Trait just from the change, as its not deity specific, just a Faith trait, but I would want to give it up to take Deadeye Bowman.

So from what I gather, all this is not really possible and now that I am not happy with the choices I made I am stuck with a character i now feel is sub par and I am disappointed in.
Isn't this the reason there is Retraining at all? I read somewhere the reason it's not in there is they don't want to introduce too many new rules. I get that, but I would rather have a new rule to accommodate everyone than to have Divine Casters the only ones stuck with poor choices.

There are two ways to change a trait without a full rebuild that I know of, but they are on chronicle sheets and have limited options for what you change the trait to.

Divine casters aren't the only ones stuck with their choices. Nobody (unless it's been changed) can retrain their traits because it's part of who your character is (it would be like retraining what race you were). So I see no evidence of 'only divine casters getting stuck.'

Divine caster can generally retrain class features, but the Warpriest was created as a class after Ultimate Campaign so it doesn't have rules for doing such.

If you want to gain a new trait (actually two) you can take the feat Additional Traits, which I believe is PFS legal.

While you can't retrain traits, that's not the reason why, as you can retrain alternate racial traits.

My problem has largely been solved, but the ongoing issue of not allow traits to be retrained should be looked at again and perhaps some rules set by Paizo.

In my case, I CAN retrain my Blessings as a variant domain feature as noted in Ultimate Campaign/Retraining/Class Features. I can take the Additional Traits Feat in order to get Deadeye Bowman, ONLY because I don't already have a Religion Trait. I would prefer not to have to blow a Feat for which I already had plans, and to retrain a trait, but, well, that's kind of the point of the thread.

Racial traits are something you gain every level, not something that your character came with when created.

There are rules set by Paizo. You just don't like them.

Uhh, racial traits are things like Darkvision, the Human bonus feat, or an Aasimar's energy resistance. They are innate parts of your race and your upbringing, and the vast majority of them don't change at all as you level.

What alternate racial traits are you gaining every level..? I know the ones I and everyone else have aren't being picked up/changed every level.

OK, this is going to sound weird, but I believe it works.

After you take the Extra Traits feat, you can retrain that feat to something else.

Now you have to get rid of two traits, but they can be *any* two of your traits, not necessarily the two you gained from taking the feat.

Oh I was thinking about favored class bonus that some races can get for particular classes for some reason...

Funnily enough, those can't be retrained.

If you can retrain the additional traits feat, and even retrain a couple of other things for sometimes INSANE amounts of PP, I haven't read a good reason not to get a ruling at one point.

Yeah, Deadeye Bowman is amazing, but losing Tate's Favored for it seems like a hard trade to work. As others have mentioned, these traits are in two different categories, so additional traits works.

Inner Sea Gods - which you apparently own - has an Erastil themed bow that should be perfect for your Warpriest.
