Yes, the monk can use TWF and FoB together.
The "multiple weapons" referred to in the FoB text is NOT referring to TWF, it is referring to the monks ability to use different monk weapons and combinations of unarmed strikes.

Our group has a diagreement on this, there are posts all over the place that disagree on this. altho the concensus seems to be that it is NOT allowed.

For Pity's sake Paizo, it's been years, your PAYING customers would really like an answer to this question. How about a FAQ post?

I was under the impression there was a rule in Pathfinder called "Specific overrules General", or something worded like that.
It seems pretty clear to me that the Ride By feat is one of these specific feats that override the general rules of combat, like many feats and abilities do.
It seems to me that you indeed DO pass through the enemy's square after BOTH you and your mount get the charge attack, with no need for overrun or any other feat or ability. I don't understand why people would think this one feat is an exception to the 'specific vs general' rule. Yes it breaks the general rules, but so what? Many feats and abilities do. How it works is simple, It's in the text of the feat:

Benefit: When you are mounted and use the charge action, you may move and attack as if with a standard charge and then move again (continuing the straight line of the charge). Your total movement for the round can't exceed double your mounted speed. You and your mount do not provoke an attack of opportunity from the opponent that you attack.

*The line "attack as if with a standard charge" means the mount gets to attack, as in a standard charge

*The line "then move again (continuing the straight line of the charge)" means that you do indeed pass through your enemy's space, since a charge has to go directly towards the enemy.

To me, the fact that this feat allows you to do things that are not done in any other way is totally inconsequential. Specific overrules General.

I am playing in Black Waters (Season 0) and was paralyzed by a Ghast. When I failed the check from the second Ghast the DM was not sure whether to stack my paralysis duration or give me the higher duration. We looked around quite a bit for the answer and gave up to keep playing instead. Anyone know of a definitive answer for this?

I believe if you also have the magical lineage trait applied to shocking grasp, as all good magus' should, then it only costs 1.

The second option is to form a close bond with an animal companion. A ranger who selects an animal companion can choose from the following list: badger, bird, camel, cat (small), dire rat, dog, horse, pony, snake (viper or constrictor), or wolf. If the campaign takes place wholly or partly in an aquatic environment, the ranger may choose a shark instead.

Read the CRB, that's why I posted. So what you are saying is that there have been no new Animal Companions available to the Ranger since the CRB came out, even though that Paizo page I linked to says there is a 'wide selection'?

That is the link to Paizo's Animal Companion page, that does not have the simple animal comanions listed for ranger that are in the CRB, nor does it say which animals are available to a ranger currently.

My ranger just leveled to 4 and gets to pick a Companion. Great. Knowing the CRB is terribly outdated, I want to find what animals I can actually choose from. Maybe I can find an actual current list of companions online... let's try Paizo since they are the gold standard.

and I am giving advice, Paizo. fix your reference guide so it can be used as a reference instead of another source of disappointment.

My problem has largely been solved, but the ongoing issue of not allow traits to be retrained should be looked at again and perhaps some rules set by Paizo.

In my case, I CAN retrain my Blessings as a variant domain feature as noted in Ultimate Campaign/Retraining/Class Features. I can take the Additional Traits Feat in order to get Deadeye Bowman, ONLY because I don't already have a Religion Trait. I would prefer not to have to blow a Feat for which I already had plans, and to retrain a trait, but, well, that's kind of the point of the thread.

I have a Level 5 Warpriest (Archer) of Shelyn who would like to redevote to Erastil, give up Fate's Favored, and take Deadeye Bowman trait.
I think, from what I have read and been told, this is impossible. Also, it appears I would lose the Blessing I took that's luck based, and be unable to replace it.
I would not lsoe Fate's Favored Trait just from the change, as its not deity specific, just a Faith trait, but I would want to give it up to take Deadeye Bowman.

So from what I gather, all this is not really possible and now that I am not happy with the choices I made I am stuck with a character i now feel is sub par and I am disappointed in.
Isn't this the reason there is Retraining at all? I read somewhere the reason it's not in there is they don't want to introduce too many new rules. I get that, but I would rather have a new rule to accommodate everyone than to have Divine Casters the only ones stuck with poor choices.

We found a spellbook in a CORE game that contained the Vanish spell. One of our characters wanted to take the spellbook to a shop, have the spell scribed into a scroll, and keep it as a bought item beyond the end of the scenario.
Is this possible?
