We are starting a new campaign and I am going wizard. The GM shut down the strong option of the improved familiar wand wielder so I am going with the bonded item. I was wanted something cool then i stumbled across the Ioun Bond arcane discovery from People of the River. I was wondering what peoples experiences were with this type of bond, or any cool tricks, etc. I really like the visual concept of it. Just wanted peoples insights. I tried to do a search and there were no real conversations happening about this type of bonded item. Thanks for any help
There is a bunch of awesome Ioun Stone material in Deep Magic from Kobold Press. Definitely worth checking out.
If the DM shot down the wand wielding improved familiar, I suspect that he would shoot down 3rd party sources just as quick.
Yeah the 3rd party stuff is out of the picture...
