Retrain to be a Life Oracle so you get Channel Energy

Retrain your Deity to Gorum (Chaotic Neutral Deity, Portfolio includes Battle)

Choose to be a Variant Channeler channeling Battle energy instead of normal Channeling

Take the Versatile Channeler Feat in order to be able to perform both Heal and Harm with Battle energy

Take Selective Channel, Quick Channel, and Extra Channel (a few times)

Proceed to spend your Move Action burning 2 Channel Feats, debuffing only your opponents, and then spend your Standard Action Buffing only your Party.

Watch as you become the Crowd-Control Czar par excellence of your Party, Buffing and Debuffing like the Generous and Vengeful God that you are.

...so, at 5th level you can maybe give -2 to damage and confirmation rolls to your enemies and +2 to the same to your allies? I can't say I'm all that impressed.

Oracles can't take Versatile Channeler. Only neutral clerics and necromancer wizards can.

You can only take Extra Channel once because it lacks a clause stating you can take it more than once.

The Battle variant channel isn't very good. Most of the heal variants aren't. Worshipping Pharasma and taking Fateful Channel is good.

If you want to use channel energy to crowd control, you will need to be a negative channeling cleric. Most effective variants are Rulership, Wine, and Envy. Hangover cleric guide link.

If Oracles are poor frontliners for lacking a good Fort save, what about Fighters who lack a good Will save?

Well you see, as an ultimately Str-based class, the Fighter of course has the option to add his Str stat to his Will save.

Wait, what? No? That's only the Oracle? No other class can run everything except attacks and damage off one stat? Oh. Pity.

Seriously. Initiative, AC, saves, and spells all working off the same stat. The Oracle's Fort save is awesome once it hits level 5.

I'm really not sure what more people want from a front-line class. Medium Armor? Check. 3/4ths BAB? Check. Fantastic saves in all categories? Check. Fantastic AC? Check. Ability to pump Str all day because if you decide to run a front-line Oracle you only need two stats? Check.

What else is there?

Wait, which mystery can get STR to Will saves?

You missed the joke.

A comparison was made between a Fighter's bad Will save and an Oracle's bad Fort save. I was pointing out the similarities because the Fighter can't add their primary stat to their saves.

Or AC.

Or initiative.

Ah.

Arbane - if you're looking for a couple of extra buffs, consider the Flagbearer feat and a Banner of the Ancient Kings attached to a Longspear. No action needed to activate it, you get +4 to initiative and +2 to nearby allies attack and damage rolls for as long as you hold the longspear in both hands. And a couple of other minor save benefits too. Longspear's not as fancy as some weapons but it does the job
