Hunter or Sacred Huntsmaster?

Advice

I am looking at making a ranged AnC character for a Giantslayer game. I have the basic concept of the character in mind, but I cannot decide on which would be more mechanically better. Thematically either of these classes will work with perhaps some minor tweaking here and there in the backstory.

I figure the Hunter's AnC is more powerful than the SH due to gaining a second focus at 8th level as opposed to 17th level (which I doubt this AP will even go that high). Plus the Hunter gains additional bonus tricks that the SH does not. However, the SH itself would be stronger than the standard Hunter due to Bane and better buff spells on the inquisitor lists....

What are your thoughts?

Umm the SH dose get the tricks, read the class man it works EXACTLY like the hunter ability. I prefer the inquisitor better abilities and you feel a sense of getting something every few levels. Like bane, track, wis to ints, increased knowledge checks to identify creatures, and a few more goodies. The SH is just a better hunter.

UNLESS YOU GO PRIMAL HUMTER!! 5 headed, huge sized T-Rex, with wings and a tail slap is pretty epic. Dealing 2x str mod and grapple on each bite. Nasty.

I was referring to the Bonus Tricks feature that the Hunter gets at 7th, 13th, and 19th levels.

I do really enjoy the abilities the SH gets as it helps make them just as solid as the AnC.

I second Sacred Huntsmaster.
3 extra tricks don't really matter. Bane is a reasonable trade for your second Animal Focus, and you get a handful of neat scaling abilities. The Domain is the big win, though.

Plant(Growth) with a reach weapon is awesome, especially if your group can work together to take advantage of 20' reach. Luck, War(Tactics) or Fervor, Tactics, Valor, or Zeal could all be cool too, depending on what you want to do.

Now, here's the big question... SHs that take Animal domain, do they receive two AnC's at 4th level? I love the Feather subdomain powers, but don't necessarily need more than one AnC.

That's true that 3 extra tricks really won't do much. Bane is always extremely helpful, plus the bonus to initiative. The other thing I like is being able to pick up Improved Share Spells and spread the love of Divine Favor. Though, I will miss out on spells like Magic Fang and the like...

Yep. You can get up to 3 with one -2 your level.
