Concept challenge: Final Fantasy Dragoon / Lancer

Advice

Now heres a concept i wanted to try out in pathfinder for ages is a mobility based lance/spear user that doesnt use a mount, so basically its to try to recreate the Dragoon class from the FF series but i have hit a bump in the road here...

So i thought aswell to make it a challenge in addition to ask for advice on how to get this up and running.

My ideas so far mostly revolves around using a fighter archtype of Dragoon, Two-Handed Fighter or Weapon master and just go all out on the focus of the spear types.

But i havent found a proper way of adding the whole "jump" mechanic that Dragoons have as their signature move.

Jump makes little sense in most dungeons. It might actually be a dimensional shunt or teleport effect. Dragoons were one of my favorite classes in FFT.

In the end, I wonder if this isn't really an enhanced form of charge. One that scales as the character levels up. And that they get the double damage bonus with lances that's normally reserved for mounted characters (they get it unmounted). Also, it brings you back to your starting square when done.

You may want to check out the fey bloodline for bloodrager. It's good at charging and movement.

This is why i was poking at the "mobile fighter" archtype as you have a bonus on your attack after moving at least 5feet.

And when it comes to the "jump" it could be anything that is charge based or maybe something that benefit with acrobatics.

Also, you do have a actual jump, its in the Dragoon fighter archtype where you jump off your mount and still get the mounted charge benefit.

Spring Attack could help recreate the "go to one square for an attack and return out of range"... but it's Spring Attack...

Otherwise you can see about seeing if your GM will let you use the Death from Above feat for make-shift jump charges (using Acrobatics to make a jump for the "higher ground").

Elemental air bloodrager would eventually let you attack from above, but it's not really jump either. I really think spring attack is the better option for simulating Jump. And fey bloodline is more suited to it.
