Okay, I should start this off by saying that, my IRL group fell apart, and therefore I am returning to making characters and writing stories based of adventure paths, as they help eliminate some of my pitfalls as a novice writer, and plus I love pathfinder. I am planning to use the Reign of Winter for my newest story, as it sounds interesting and I got the idea, from various threads and the players guide, to do a witch hunting group. Still working on the back story of the group but the only two characters I have on lock is an inquisitor (witch hunter archetype more than likely), and a Witch - winter witch archetype (PrC eventually). The Witch will be a failed apprentice, and after reading somebody's character background, will have escape through the portal to Taldor and was recovered (unconscious) by the inquisitor. Now I am trying to round the party out the best that I can. Obvsiouly this is a story, so min-maxing isn't needing, but I generally do "play" out most of the battles, fudging results sometimes, but do let "PCs" die if needed. Here are some of my other ideas for the group
Magus - Hexcrafter
Gunslinger
Alchemist
Barbarian - IR
Oracle
and maybe a Sorcerer with the boreal bloodline and fit it thematically to the story.
I am choosing to focus more on the witch hunter theme than building a party who optimizes in the cold weather climate. Any help would be appreciated.
I am thinking between 4-6 PCs for this story.

Hmmm this is an interesting idea but what about a Fey of Summer style Sorcerer?
Maybe Dual-Blooded Sorcerer (Primal Fire Elemental with Fey) Perhaps a reaction to all the fey that sided with Baba yaga and spawned a bloodline of direct opposition to the Winter Touched fey of the area. The character would be shunned most likely for just having Fey heritage and the fire would make the character constantly feel even colder. Make a good witch hunter as he would likely join such a group seeking the winter witches.
But if you mean old school witch hunters.
I would suggest Fighter, Alchemist, Gunslinger, and Cleric
Currently running an Ulfen Cleric NPC that the group seems to like
N- alginment , Negative energy Channel , Extra Channel, Selective Channel level 1, Versatile Channel lvl 3, Improved Channeling lvl 5
This has made him a pretty impressive opponent for doing AOE against the enemy, he started off memorizing Cure Spells to heal his party after battles.
Most Witch hunters avoid arcane casters, but an Alchemist might be able to make it without too many issues, or could go Rogue with feats geared towards making Alchemical explosives and fireworks

Have not read/played the AP, so these are character opinions, not necessarily tailored to the story.
I prefer the spellkiller to witch hunter archetype myself. Does what the witch hunter wants to do, but better.
I would also think about keeping the party divine, as going into arcane around a spellkiller should lead to conflict between the people.
As such, my party would consist of a Spellkiller Inquisitor, Winter Witch, Hunter with pet, (possibly divine hunter, but that depends on how religious you want the group), Slayer or a Draconic Bloodrager going DD.
I am playing off the witch hunter theme by having 2 bounty hunter types, a bunch of melee and the witch you had.
Spellkiller Hunter: Obvious but I will state it anyway. The witches the party is hunting will hate him.
Witch: Going winter witch is fine, but I would give her a counter spelling focus.
Hunter: Tracking and basic survival in cold, possibly a native to the area and serving as the guide.
Slayer: More melee to depress the casters. Some good skill coverage too.
Bloodrager: Because I love this sort of idea and wanna play it, feel free to ignore it. However, it does make a strong melee.

You should definitely throw in an inquisitor into the mix. The Spellbreaker archetype is more mechanically powerful than the Witch Hunter; however, I find the Witch Hunter to be more flavorful than the Spellbreaker for the inquisitor.
I think the Witch Hunter was a really cool ability...
Spell Scent: At 6th level, the witch hunter learns how to sense unique spell signatures, and can follow the trail of a cast spell or spell effect cast back to its source. Once per day, when the witch hunter comes into contact with or is exposed to a spell effect or a magic item, she can spend a full-round action to examine the spell effect or magic item, and then gains the effect of a locate creature spell. She can do this even if the spell effect was instantaneous, but must start her examination within 1 round after she experienced the spell’s effect. Instead of locating a known creature, the witch hunter locates the caster of the spell effect or magic item she examined. Doing so does not allow the witch hunter to gain any intelligence about the spellcaster other than its location. This ability replaces track.

I would have a Paladin and a Cleric of the the same deity as the Inquisitor. This only works if it is a deity that has Paladins. A deity that has Rangers could substitute that instead. It would give you the chance to look at one religion from three points of view, which could be really cool.
If you go that route... I would look at Torag as an option. I rolled up a dwarven Spellbreaker inquisitor with Steel Soul and Glory of Old which gave him a +5 bonus to STs against spells and SLAs... that's on top of his base STs and stat bonuses...
You can actually do the same thing with a dwarf Untouchable Rager with the Arcane bloodline. Ridiculous saves plus SR on top of that with anti-caster insanity of the Arcane bloodline. Throw in a dwarven dorn-dergar in the mix, you can have lots of anti-caster fun!
