Evening!
I will be starting a new game after the holidays after a quick trial of 5E; none of the other 4 players have ever touched Pathfinder before, or even 3.5E.
Our current party includes a Brawler, a Sacred Fist Warpriest, a Grenadier Alchemist and a Sandman Bard. As I can't make up my mind on what to play, I ask you, what would fit?
The party has a shady/criminal background, and the campaign (the beginning bit at least) is set in a city, so druid-ish and paladinlike characters are mostly out of bounds, and the GM has banned gunslingers, samurais and ninjas. I'm also interested in something more than the "hitting things with other things" playstyle.
So, what do you guys think? Bring the suggestions!

Off the top of my head, here's one idea I think would fit that whole scene well, if it suits you: A Wizard who specializes in either Illusion, Divination, or Necromancy, and "minors" in one of the others (a Wizard can of course only specialize in a single school, but can still choose a second to favor over others).

Remember you can share spells with the sandman by letting them touch you and choosing to fail the save; it'd be nice of you to keep some spells available which they'd like to cast. This works best for a prepared caster who can keep a variety of spells on hand, i.e. A wizard or witch or maybe a magus.
