Idea: Do you have enough storage space for ONE additional adventure case for EACH adventure path in order to store your cards sleeved?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Please answer the thread question above ...

This is the drawback of the adventure case, you need twice the storage space for each adventure path.

Solution:
1) I would buy only ONE adventure case for carrying around my current adventure path i am gaming with my group. In this way the original game box is not damaged by carrying around.

2) Paizo releases a NEW plastic insert/ or any official insert for the original game box to store (all sleeved cards & adventure boxes) it in the original game box with cards sleeved. However, it could be a tight fit of all cards. Only as final storage solution where minimum space is used. (The empty adv boxes could be filled partially with sleeved cards, then a insert carrying both is possible).

3) 1&2 will effect the PACG sleeves sales very positively ... Sky rocketing $$$ .... As everbody may store their adventure path sleeved with minimum storage space used and the original game box stays in MINT condition as you carry your adventure box around from game event to game event...

PS: Background, I am thinking to collect plenty of adventure paths with cards sleeved and then an optimal storage solution is necessary.

That is actually a good idea...

So you suggest for Paizo to bring out like a Adventure Path Carry Case™?

Specifically one that is suited for card sleeves of course. With the new Adventure Path coming out next year this could be very needed.

I will probably also start making new type of custom campaigns that combines elements of the different Adventure Paths. This could work well keeping all the current Custom Adventure campaign stuff then in the carry case and all the unused stuff in their proper original Adventure boxes.

But unfortunately the best solution is to get Broken Token separators and slots at the current moment for keeping everything in sleeves. I would have loved if all the cards could fit as is in the Adventure Path box and inside the Adventure boxes. I like it when we reset the game and every time we complete an adventure we open the box and expand the game.

But I do need sleeves, some of my cards are starting to show a bit of wear from the constant playing they have gone through. Especially if its a card that will always be part of someone's deck.

Sovereign Court

Boon, they're already working with UltraPro to release an Adventure Path Case that fits an entire path sleeved. There was some big event they said it wouldn't be released in time for, I think the Wrath release, but I could be wrong. It isn't uncommon for that to happen.

The other solution is to get three of the 660 card boxes and cut the tops off and use those for final storage with everything sleeved. As you are not needing to pull out cards constantly, not having them divided up isn't much of an issue at that point. In most locales that is under $7.00 for final storage.

This will increase the storage room as you have to store the original game box plus three boxes for the sleeved cards.

Ideal regarding storage is all sleeved cards with the adv boxes and modified insert in the original game box. Then you have only the original game box to store.

The adventure path (carry) case is already decided to be released in 2015 by Ultra Pro.

Broken Token's solution is SUBoptimal for permanent storage: you have to keep the original plastic insert and what you gonna do with the amazing adventure boxes. The broken Token solution is equivalent with buying an Ultra Pro adventure case for every adventure path. It consumes lot of storage space!

Therefore my proposal for a NEW optimized (plastic) insert for the original game box which holds all cards sleeved plus the adventure boxes.

You do realize that the 3 card boxes will fit inside the PACG box without the original insert in the box. Actually if you use 2 660 count boxes and a 330 count box. All 7 of the expansion boxes will fit behind the 330 count box and if my math is right everything should fit, albeit possibly a little tight.

Well, you have everything in the box .... And what do you do with the original insert?

Store it besides the original game box... So twice the volume!
Thats the problem...

The original insert isn't sturdy enough without the box to be of much use.

I'd much rather wait and see what the new Ultrapro storage case looks like and what it can hold before I change my current way of storing the cards.

I use the Broken Token insert. I put the original insert on a shelf. I put blue painters tape along the bottom of the insert to give it some structural support. When I get an adventure deck I take all the cards out of it, sleeve them and add them to the Broken Token insert. I then put the empty box into the adventure deck spot of the original insert that is on my shelf.

I plan on having 2 "active" games. When WotR comes out, I will unsleeve RotR, and return the original insert to the RotR box, placing all the cards in the original insert. I will then use those sleeves and the Broken Token insert for WotR.

This means for my 2 "active" games I need shelf space for the original insert (sans box) and for the Broken Token insert (in box).

I am very interested in the adventure case. Assuming it is as great as I'm hoping it is, I will use it much the same way. I could get 2 of them and put my two active games in them.

This means that for my 2 active games I will need shelf space for the original insert (in the box) and the adventure case (which is its own box).

The amount of space is the same.

In fact, today I contemplated building a simple wooden box that would be the size of the Broken Token insert and have a hinged lid and a clasp. This would essentially create my own adventure case.

But no matter how I do it, the storage space is the same. And for anything that replaces the original insert (whether or not it also replaces the original box) that will be true for anyone that wants to keep the original insert.

I'm happy with that setup. It caps out my expense on inserts and sleeves in that I will only need enough for 2 games.

Doesn't your solution also leave you with this same problem? If Paizo releases a new insert for the box you still have the original insert to store...

I would store only one original insert... Do you want to buy the old one?

Lol...no thanks...I just don't see how your solution is any different than the suggestion to use 660 or 330 count boxes...you are going to be storing one original insert either way...

I bought a large card box (not sure the count)...it has all RotRL and all S&S as well as a few sets of dice and my pawns...I just put the original boxes in my basement for storage...

When you put everything sleeved in the original gamebox in your cupboard, would this be cool?

You throw it and the cardboard boxes away. I don't plan on ending up on an episode of Hoarders over 13 cents worth of unnecessary cardboard and plastic just to say I didn't throw away something that I will never use again.
