Hello,
Not sure if this is the best place for the suggestion. But was wondering if Paizo would ever consider a "Seer" based class with the below ideas.
Powers: Mental or Magic based.
Bonded object: Orb, Doll, etc. Something that can be controlled and scryed through.
Concept:
1) A Seer has a link to see or hear anything within a 60ft range of her bonded object. Seers can control their bonded object over GREAT distances (mile/s).
2) Seers are able to cast spells through their object OR their bonded object has a number of useable spells chosen from a list purchased by "binding points".
3) Seers are eventually able to teleport to the location of their bonded object a number of times per day.
4) Bonded objects either have a set number of hp and hardness or their hp increases as the Seer increases in HD.
5) At higher levels the Seer is able to have multiple bonded objects (example: multiple dolls that are controlled and used as scouts or skirmishers)
This class concept was sparked between the Seer class Here and the doll that I believe is in module Reign of Winter's "The Snows of Summer" or "The Shackled Hut" where the doll was controlled and had some spell like abilities.
The concept of the class is to be able to see and travel great distances and use 1 (or possibly more) bonded objects (orbs, dolls, etc) to spy and attack others with. Making a class that's somewhat similar to a Summoner but has greater divination power and offensive spell focus (which bonded object uses. If bonded object is destroyed then a good deal of offensive strength is taken away from the Seer, yet the Seer has some spells per day like Summoner.)

I was just thinking last night that a Seer class would have been a great addition to the Occult Adventures classes.
I'm not so sure a "Scry and Fry" sort of character is where I'd want to go with it, though. Among other things, it starts to remove the need for adventuring in the first place and eliminate the need for other characters.
But something that has powerful divination abilities, probably some kind of "buffer" class. It might spill over a bit into the Mesmerist territory in the latter sense, but I think it could be very cool.
At the very least, I hope there is some kind of Seer archetype.

I was thinking it removes the need for adventuring also but I think there's ways to mitigate that. Maybe the Seer has the scrying ability to see and hear out to a distance of 1,500ft, same distance as a Homunculus. That would allow them to scout somewhat with their bonded object but require them to have to adventure. The balance is that the bonded object has some powers but it's quite underpowered just by itself. Unless you're killing peasants, you'd need the combined power of the Seer and the bonded object to destroy equal foes. Also, if the Seer just sends their Bonded Object out on its own to attack the Seer is risking being at half strength until they spend the hour, day, week (or whatever appropriate time) to rebind to another object.
A perfect medium would be that when the Seer and the bonded object are in battle together they have the strength to kill equal CR creatures. A seer could bond to a new object at the start of the day and would require the mundane item (doll or crystal ball) and maybe an hour of time to bond with it. No gold penalty for a destroyed bonded object like a Wizard or such. Goal would be to treat it more like an extension of a Seer's hand, like a Summoner's Eidolon.
The Seer class would make for a great villian npc, would work well in a party also with a 1,500ft range (.2 miles). Seer could scout but if he loses his bonded object it would cripple him until he's able to bond with another object.
Could treat the Seer as a buffer or slower spell progression of a wizard (similar to a magus or bard) but their bonded object can use a point buy (similar to a Summoner's Eidolon evolution point buy system) to learn different spells. Making either the bonded object have some healing spells, offensive spells, or protection/etc spells. Limited on the number of points you have available but allows the Seer to match their Bonded Object to help fill certain holes in the party.
Thoughts?
