Battle Cry - best feat in the game?

it is a good feat.

far, far cry from even the "top ten" feats imo though, let alone best feat in game.

for bards and skalds it is redundant imo, they can give rerolls and they can give morale bonuses with spells/flagbearer.

so that leave it for cha based martials (swashbucklers, cha magi, paladins) or for someone with high cha doing support in a nonbard party (sorc, shaman, etc)

the fact that the 2 classes (bard, skald) that seem perfect for it usually dont stack well with it, and the fact that it uses the worst martial stat in the game, balances the feat out.

at least imo.

As is, I will only keep the first part in my home games. The second part is both too strong as written ANd makes for even more bookkeeping.

The first part is AOE weapon focus with bravery attached. It's extremely strong as well.

As far as the title of this thread this feat does not compare to

Leadership
Crafting
Dazing spell
sacred geometry
exct

There are a fair number of stronger feats, typicaly banned feats.

If I took perform oratory on my paladin, I might consider this feat though Paladin are often skill starved, so there is a barrier to entry. Not bad for a battle leader focused Paladin or battle oracle.

you dont need perform on your paladin:

Quote:
Cha 13; base attack bonus +5 or Perform (act, oratory, or sing) 5 ranks.

notice the ;

you need cha 13
and bab +5
OR
perform 5 ranks

Ah OK, I didn't see the or part. I might pick this up then.

Sovereign Court

I think it's particularly good for bloodragers worried about failing Will saves. They most likely meet the Cha prerequisite, do the BAB prerequisite and they don't have that many other things slurping up Swift actions.

It's nice for paladins of course, but paladins don't need Save rerolls quite as much and have more competition on what to spend Swift actions on, like Smite and Litany spells.

Remember, the one who initiates the cry does not get these bonuses. Only his allies.

This is pretty close!

I think it is worse than leadership, and sacred geometry though

FAQ: "Ally: Do you count as your own ally?

You count as your own ally unless otherwise stated or if doing so would make no sense or be impossible. Thus, "your allies" almost always means the same as "you and your allies."

It's significantly worse than leadership, crafting, and sacred geometry. It's slightly better (In theory) than divine protection on oracles but it's significantly worse than divine interference.
