Roleplay question for Cleric of Iomedae

Advice

I am playing a Cleric of Iomedae who took the glory and sun domains because he hates the undead. Another player decided to make a Necromancer. I don't want to be a pain to the party but I also want to have fun role playing a Cleric whose religion says that undead are evil. Any advice on how to handle this in game?

Iomedaeis all about fighting the World Wound, the conscripts of this span the entire alignment board. As long as your fighing the demons there, you can be as evil as you want.

Have your character be firm that they will only work with this Necromancer if doing so will continue to remove evil from the world.

First of all it's Iomidae's religion whose edicts say that undead are evil, all* undead are EVIL.

By Nocromancer do you mean a wizard who choose necromancy as his spelization school?

*only the ghosts aren't automatically evil, every other kind of undead is automatically evil

Hmmm, this is a classic example of why it's a good idea to send out an email saying, "I'm thinking of playing [X], what is everyone else playing?"

If he is actually planning on raising undead, it's going to be next to impossible for you two to get along. What is your GM's opinion on PvP? Because I feel like either one of you will have to retire your character, or else kill each other.

Silver Crusade

A lot depends on what the other player plans on doing. Is he just after some of the good necromancer save or suck/die spells? Or is he planning on raising an army of the dead? Even then, are you working together to thwart a greater evil? Might be able tolerate a few undead for the greater good in the short term. Keep in mind you aren't a paladin, so you can be a bit more flexible if you want to.

Definitely raise your concerns with the other player and the GM if necessary. Might not be as big an issue as you think.
