Ya, Deck 3 was pushed back to November due to all of the recent delays. If you check the stickies at the top of the customer service forum, you can see the Deck 4 was pushed to December with no PACG products at all being released in October, so more than likely the whole AP is going to be running a month behind.

I don't know if it's Paizo or the manufacturer (manufacturer from the sound of it), but somebody needs to get their act together. S&S rollout has been a borderline disaster from day one. Class Decks as well, and to the point that the schedule for Organized Play is terrible.
I suppose a "silver lining" to this is that now the messed up schedule for PACG just fixed the messed up schedule for OP. Not really a good silver lining though.

Vic confirmed the delay in his post about also delaying the PACG OP to Oct 1:
Additionally, delays with Adventure Deck 2 have caused it, and all future Skull & Shackles decks, to be delayed by a month, so we'll be spacing out releases a bit differently than we had previously planned.

Oh Ok, was not aware that the add-on box was part of the subscription. Thought it was different for some reason.
Hi, sorry - in my previous post I was being facetious and referring to the recent mix-up with some subscribers being sent the add-on cards in their deck 2 packs.
Genuinely, I'm not sure on the ordering of the subscription. The character add-on pack is not essential unless you want to play with more than four characters, or you want to have a wider range of characters to choose from when selecting your adventuring party.

And to try to answer your question correctly - I believe if you start with deck 2 then you will skip the character add-on pack.
Ok that was my line of thought. Im interested in the add-on but dont want to wait till Nov. to get deck 2 if that is next in the subscription. Or maybe ill start with deck 2 and visit my FLGS and buy the add-on from them. Enough rambling from me thanks for the answers guys.

As Hawkmoon says, starting with the Add-On Deck gets you 5 promo cards right off the bat. I don't think they come with the AD2.
Starting Adventure 2 will get you the Owlbeartross and a Blessing of Zogmugut or however you spell it. Starting with the Add on Deck will get you those, plus a Goblin Weidling ship, Goblin Keelhaulin' barrier, Mogmurch ally, and Ranzak the promo character from Free RPG Day in June.
