Do the hybrid classes still count for fulfilling the prerequisites for feats, or class abilities?

One example would be spell mastery (feat) where you have to be a first level wizard to take it. Does Arcanist fulfil this prereq?

Also If I were to go Bloodrager and Barbarian could I use my bloodrager levels when considering that Rage powers I could use?

For example as a 4th level barbarian with 2 levels bloodrager, could I take a rage power that requires me to be 6th level barbarian?

The new classes have abilities that say if they count as their composite classes. I think they all have such abilities, but I'm not positive

But what about about things like an Investigator Rogue. Does the Investigator because it is rogue alchemist count towards being 4 rogue levels higher than an opponent to be able to flank and in turn sneak attack them?

Dark Archive

The class ability will say exactly what the class counts as a rogue for.

Generally, the hybrid classes do not count as either of their parent classes for feat prerequisites unless they have a class feature that says that they do. For an example of such a feature, look at the Brawler class. See the introductory section just before the Arcanist class for the general rules.

So to answer your questions, No, No and No. Sorry about that, but while getting spell mastery would be no big deal, the other two examples would make the classes far stronger.

Thank you all, I reread each class to find specifically what they count for, sadly the world will never see pouncing blood raging barbarians with 15 ft reaches.

Wasn't there a FAQ about spell mastery that allows it for any prepared spellcaster since wizards were the only arcane ones in the CRB? That or one of the devs posted something to that effect.

Well, with enough reach, you might not have ot charge at all ^^ And maybe at some point, they will unban the archetype that gives bloodragers rage powers.

Given the existance of the arcanist, I see not reason to limit that particular feat, there might be a faq or post about it somewhere, but I think it is rather inconsequential.

Enlarge and Long Arms infusion. No problem. Just become friends with an alchemist.

The Brawler is an excellent example.

Are you sure?

Primalist archetype, allows you to pick 2 rage powers instead of a bloodline power, every 4 levels.
Abyssal bloodline: 4th level, grow one size category larger when raging.
Primalist archetype: Sub out the 8th level power, instead gain 2 rage powers (lesser beast totem, beast totem)
Primalist archetype: Sub out the 12th level power, instead gain 2 rage powers (greater beast totem and whatever)
Feat: Lunge
You're a bloodrager with a 15 foot reach and pounce.

You could also just do a normal barbarian and take the new abyssal blood rage power.
