But now that I'm thinking about balance - it strikes me that this would probably be a less effective combo than using a bite attack, no?

It would be entirely within the rules to make a full attack that included bow shots followed by a bite (at BAB -5).

At least with the bite your longbow doesn't suffer any additional penalties... I mean, if you're playing cover/soft cover correctly it's really easier for a low level character to be looking at -8 penalties out of the box (target in melee with an ally + soft cover AC bonus)... That's before adding in -2 for rapid shot and -1 for deadly aim...

Another bonus of the bite that is that with a 0 feat investment you get 1.5x STR damage and 3:1 power attack on your AoO's.

You need to invest a lot of feats to get that out of an UAS.

I fail to see how pointing out dishonesty is an insult. I think knowing the truth would help out people who want to know the truth.
