Technology Guide SRD?

Iron Gods

Hello guys, how are you? First i wanna say: What a great book this is!! I was a little skeptical about it first, but after i read i think this is going to be one of my favorites AP!

Well I didnt buy the Technology guide because i thought that would be available online. In the Fires of Creation its said that is available in paizo srd, but i couldnt find it...

Is there a link for the main rules or should i wait a little longer?

P.S. Sorry for my bad english! im from another country!

It probably will be added in the future but don't hold your breath. Earlier books of higher priority are still waiting being added as updating PRD is less important for Paizo as a company than releasing new material.

Bestiary 4 and some other things are supposed to be added in late September if I remember correctly. Maybe then.

Thanks for the answer!! So maybe i will give a look in the pdf version of TG!!!

Actually, if the AP is out now and it's referencing the PRD as a source for the rules now, I'd imagine it's going to be up reallly soon.

The Mythic Adventures PRD went up fairly quickly when WotR came out - that said, initially it was up on another website, not the Paizo site.

Archives of Nethys should be updated in time, meanwhile I already own the Technology Guide given I'm GMing. The PRD updates with a delay, just be patient or pickup the technology guide. It's the same with the ACG delay update on the PRD.

Would you like this with a side of the Tech Guide being up right now? :)

On snap, that's ... pretty? Was this a stealth update? I'm not even sure when this happened given I usually fallback to d20pfsrd.

It happened pretty much when Chrismade the post above yours...

Hey Chris,

I don't know if you're the right person to ask, but do you think you guys would be able to change the text of

Iron Gods spoilers:

Spoiler:
the Linguistics skill so that the identity of the alien crew aboard the ship be unrevealed? Instead of "Androffan: This is the language spoken by the crashed ship's original human crew" it instead be something like, "Androffan: This is the language spoken by the crashed ship's alien crew" or something like that?

Doh! Yeah, I think we can do something about that :)

I noticed that, too. There are references to Numeria and the alien language scattered throughout the Technology Guide section of the PRD. Do you guys intend to keep those references in there or was this an oversight? It kind of gives the impression that Numeria (at least the name of that nation) is now open content.

I think there was explicit reference to Golarion in Technology Guide PRD section.

It's a campaign setting book, so there's gonna be that stuff in it. Easier to just include it rather than spending editing time rewriting everything.

I don't think that was the intention, since they specifically said that the Technology Guide was not supposed to be genre-neutral, and explicitly tied to Numeria.

That said, I had to lock down my players' access to the Player's Guide and the Tech Guide in fear of them reading the description of the Androffan language under Linguistics! :v

One more thing to look at: The Force Field stat block says that it uses one charge per minute, but the text box says one charge per round. Which is the typo?

I think the general preference is use the stat block's text over the chart (so you have a force field worth a damn.)

I'm still upset all the good cyberware is on the Body Cyberware slot, and you only get one of those slots. Some of us LIKE characters with Muscle Replacements, Wired Reflexes, and Dermal Plating, Paizo >_<

(Note: Why yes, I also enjoy having characters with less than 0.5 Essence in Shadowrun, why do you ask)

That's clearly what the Cyber-Soldier Archetype is for. Now, if only we could get it on a Class other than Fighter. Gunslinger or Slayer (or both) perhaps...to properly reflect what most street samurai were really like.

Great to see tha it came so fast!! I think this is going to be a exelent AP!

Not enough cyberware slots on the cybersoldier fighter, and the implanted weapon bonus doesn't stack with fighter weapon training.

My plan for Iron Gods is a brawler who just beats aliens to death with her bare hands. The PRPG version of Muscle Replacements might do nicely =p

One charge per minute for force fields.

I'm tracking and answering errata for the book over on its actual product page.

James, give brawlers more body cyberware slots! Having to choose between +Strength and +Constitution is not fun! ;_;

I was waiting for folks to notice that limitation!

There IS an item in one of the upcoming Iron Gods installments that allows you to implant more than one ability score enhancing cybernetic item... but you'll need to wait until then to check it out, alas.

Spoiler:
It's called an implant mesh, and it costs 5,000 gp and you slap it onto your cyberfiber muscles before implantation and then the item no longer counts as taking up a slot, more or less, but at the cost of increasing that item's implantation by 2.

That is totally awesome, even if a bit pricey. Thanks, James! =D

I'm a bit surprised that there's no extra options for cybereyes (like low light vision, darkvision, X-ray or infravision, &c.) or brain cyberware to improve mental stats (Wired Synapses! +2/+4/+6 Intelligence!) but maybe those are in the future.

It'd be easy enough to do cyber eye veemods. I'd just double the price and you'd be good to go.

James,

Sorta lame Andriods have the same cyberslot limitations as naturally born humanoids.

And The Cybersoldier? Ummm with the amount of coin cybernetics cost, their 5th level ability doesn't seem like they will be even able to USE to following normal WBL?
Cybersolider abilities should be better considering the rarity and cost involved to use that ability at all.
It's not like I can find an arm in the treasure trove and just put it on either.

Nor are cybersoldiers adept at taking cyber from fallen foes (lots of heal skill?)

putting cyber on androids should be less expensive, with lower DCs for success too.

just saying

Ive been pondering that all day actually. I've got a buddy who wants to run one but i dont want him pissed that he wont be able to use his class abilities for half the game. Im thinking of letting him start with a downgraded Cybernetic arm or a magical one that qualifies for the class ability but gives him no other bonuses or maybe even a minus.

And if it happens to look like Edward Elric's automail thats just a bonus...

Cool... rules for radiation!
Now we can combine this with the kaiju from Bestiary 4 and stat up Godzilla...

(Actually, just giving Mogaru a radiation aura and an immunity to radiation would be pretty close.)
