Another Burning Truth

Unfortunately, the latest fiasco post was locked and stocked when I eventually got around to reading it. It seems like there is something extremely burning within people recently roundabouts here. No doubt all of us have expectations and hopes of what to do and who to do it with and who to do it to (THAT IS RIGHT KC, I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PLANNING WITH THOSE MAMMOTHS!) and frankly, all this waiting is driving us insane.

Luckily for me I was already playing an "insane" character before all this so it should come to no surprise that I am going to simply upscale the insanity in my character for once in the few times, as apposed to the usual verbose revolutionary or slimy politician you usually encounter (the former being intelligent sounding and bringing up points and the other mostly starting seeming "flame-wars" for no apparent reason only to whip out some obscure point right before it gets a thread locked).

And so, in order to ease/contribute to the tension and insanity we are all feeling I wish to clarify something I haven't exactly stated before.

IC: I am here to "wipe the slate clean" of the wickedness of oppression and resentment. It stands to reason that everyone is flawed and at some point slips up and bullies another, hounds someone, makes fun of another for no reason, etc.

And so, while we can try to make enemies to sate our lusts I'm letting you know you can all relax.

I plan on destroying all of you at least once. Myself included.

(P.S. while this is light-hearted it is not a joke. Nor am I intending grief or mindless killings. You will slip up and provide a solid, logical, acceptable reason. And I will find out about it. And then I will correct it ;) ...)

(Except you, KC, your bloody defense is rock solid... I bet you use Tony's Totally Legitimate Bread Bakers or Warstein Ale to cover for you...)

You bring the cups, I'll bring the Kool-Aid

I too wish to see the whole world spiral down the chaotic toilet, set flame once it is coated in feces, half the population turned to the undead and the other half the eaters of necrotic flesh and when there are only a few left.... Ahh, that refreshing Kool-Aid....

On a serious note... I think that any grudges that have formed on the forums will slowly fade, especially after the first few kills. Yes, some if not all of the settlements will have their day of being razed. All alliances will eventually fail, all pacts will eventually be violated or dissolved, etc...

PFO is meant to be two things, it is meant to be dynamic and it is meant to be a War Simulator.

Have you watched the running of those escalations? That is going to get old fast!

Did you see the zerg style pvp on Friday? That will get old fast too, although not as fast as the PVE.

World of Towers will at least bring PVP the meaning it needs, and allow the players to engage in it without have to wait until they are hit twice before PVPing.

Well it certainly appeared that they were having fun once the PvP began.

Yeah, the screaming and the dying and the "Where did that come from?!?!?" was great. But they do need to come up with some clear way to tell friend from foe before they try it again.

Actually, its meant to be more of a society or civilization simulator, of which war is just one aspect.

But war is easiest to troll so guess where most will focus. If i get into this it will be all economy for me...

I somehow envision him covered in Warstein Ale...

In a land with limited and shifting resources, economy is warfare. Settlements may not openly say they will kill you if you move into a hex for those resources, but no too much later you will find your outposts and caravans see a sudden upsurge of raiding.

You may think or even blame some local bandit group, but you may wonder, "Who may be backing them?"

The real burning truth is that it hurts when I pee. Should I go to the cleric?

Yes. But I believe your Asmodean clerics prefer to fix problems like that with miniaturized flame strike spells.

try "Acid splash". Apply liberally.

Them magical STDs hurt the worse! If it burns in your eyes too, when you pee, you have a serious problem...I know a witch that takes care of things like that...for a price of course.

I'm pretty sure you're either supposed to wear eye protection or keep them closed for that part of the "event"
