For months (one might even say years) a project has been in development for Rogue Genius Games, a product that everyone can draw value from—be they player, GM, or just a fan of good fiction!

Mike Myler and a crack team of talented artists and designers are crafting a world like no other. The setting is filled to the brim with high adventure, quirky characters, vivid battles, grand conflicts, enormous danger, and exotic locales that range the gamut from toxic factories to windswept mountain peaks ensconced with wild magic!

We're playing with a close hand still and can't say much more for right now, but keep an eye out in the next two weeks for the big announcement of what exactly the project launching in September is.

This year's equinox will be one to remember—stay tuned to find out why on August 19th!

OMG, is Warlords of the Apocalypse finally coming out? Because that would be awesome.

We can hope Ssalarn. We can hope so very hard.

If you look around *real* hard, I've been dropping hints about BSP for months.

Otherwise, more details on August 19th. :D

*quickly adds notes for battle savvy penguins*

Yes, they absolutely will be.

So, THIS is not Warlords of the Apocalypse. This one is very much Mike's project, which we are assisting with and looking forward to.

I don't want to derail Mike's thread, so let me just say WotA is still in the works, and you can ask me anything you want about it over in this thread.

Whew! I wasn't sure exactly what to say. :P

We aren't ruling out Battle Savvy Penguins, though. Luis was talking about some awakened penguins a little bit ago and that guy is full of brilliant ideas...

There's a cat-based BSP artwork leak but if you're going to be at GenCon, stop by 3D Virtual Tabletop/AaW Games (Booth #3039) to get early access to the website for BSP and a look at what's coming on August 19th!

EDIT: It occurs to me that I ought to mention that there are quite a few things worth checking out in Booth #3039. :D

I can't remember the last time someone did rule them out!

Two notes about penguins:

1) Cerulean Seas - Indigo Ice.

Those penguins were badass. I love the one with 8-pack abs who looks like someone turned the Rock into a penguin. And the fact that they're all Spartans who ice skate on scythes.

That being said, just because someone else did Battle Savvy Penguins shouldn't automatically mean you don't at least mention that they're present in your setting.

That was my only point! Our current homegrown setting has penguins. They're a variation using the ARG.

It would be unfair if I commented.

I can neither confirm or deny the existence or nonexistence of penguins that are capable or incapable of partaking in combat.

I'm not looking at the book, but I could have sworn there was no U. Having said that, nothing I type without the U looks right now...

Also, that cat needs to get better at leaking art, I could barely make anything out.

I don't know what on earth this cat is about, but she leaked more of the art while I was asleep.

Be on the lookout for tomorrow's proper reveal.

Very cool!

Aventyr:
Looks like an Aventyr book in the behind the cat. I believe Aventyr is AAW's campaign setting. Are you putting together a setting book in which (among other adventures0 Rise of the Drown and Snow White take place?

What's a Veranthea Codex? Pathfinder Redefined? interesting...

That is one of the many books I've written for Aventyr (the fourth in a product line of about 18, I think). But Aventyr is its own setting. I assure you though, the ENnie-nominated Rise of the Drow and fully-funded Snow White can be used in any campaign setting.

You'll find out what the Veranthea Codex is tomorrow, and only through an enormous effort of will am I managing to say only that. :D

Actually, the Veranthea Codex was announced in a separate thread located here.
