P.S. I also GMd my first module this weekend (Fangwood keep) and ran normal PFS session for local group. First time I've prepped two sessions in one weekend. I had two new players at my table and I think they will be back (they asked to pkay at my next table and want another goblin scenario).
I love Ekkie ;)

:) ive GMd one session per month since Feb 2014 and the last two months ive done two sessions each month. Ill slack off some come football season, well because i like to watch my football but ill at least do one per month.
I've been surprised how much ive liked gming. I've learned exponentially more gming than ive ever did playing.

Congratulations, Duncan!
I've learned exponentially more gming than ive ever did playing.
As a teacher, I can tell you that teaching a subject has made me a better student of the subject as well. I think many of my fellow teaching friends would say the same. I don't think gaming is any different.
Keep up the hard work!

This. This. A thousand times this.
Anytime I have players ask how they can become better at the game, my response is:
If you want to become a better player, GM.
If you want to become a better GM, play.
Sitting on only one side of the screen means you miss half the experience!
Edit: And I forgot to say thank you for stepping up, and congrats!

Let me say, as others have, thank you for GMing.

That is how I started out as well (especially with the football part). Now a year and a half later I'm a four star.
I've been surprised how much ive liked gming. I've learned exponentially more gming than ive ever did playing.
And that learning keeps on coming.
