Caught the later half of Reign of Fire on last night. A somewhat silly movie, nevertheless, the special effects were excellent, and the dragons looked awesome, very Vermithrax Pejorative looking.

Might go with a co-worker to see another co-worker today. The other co-worker is convalescing at home after a bad bicycle accident. I'm talking "could have crippled him" bad. Broke his pelvis in four places, had compression fractures in two vertebrae, and broke several ribs.

In sadder news, one of my favorite co-workers has decided to move over to our other office. It'll make her commute easier. I say 'sad', because she was one of the only other people in the office, besides myself, with a nearly consistent positive attitude.

And, yes. I do have a nearly consistent positive attitude in the office - owing to have to interact with or witness fewer dumbasses engaged in their dumbassery.

Interesting word, "dumbass". It was the favorite of red Foreman from That Seventies Show. I've started to use it more and more. So, turns out the wife was correct - I am slowly turning into Red Foreman.

I don't necessarily consider this a bad thing. Kurtwood Smith is an awesome actor.

Kung Fu Panda 3 - not as good as the first two, but entertaining enough. Plus, more Oogway!

Also - Master Chicken! He was as awesome as you might suspect.

That's up to you. I loved the first one - one of my favorite animated flicks. The second one was a decent follow up, and Gary Oldman as the villain was perfect. This third outing was pretty cool as well, and a fine bookend to the story of Po.

Plus, Oogway. He's only the model for any monk character I might ever play. Not to mention, his philosophy on life is pretty cool.

Ack! Egads Again! You are correct, my good badger! I was having a senior moment and thought it was already Friday. In my defense, however, two normally Friday things did happen today.

I f%*~ing hate holiday travel. Houston to my in-laws house is about 360 miles. We left this morning at 0600, and by 0845 we were half way. Thanks to three accidents and a f#&* ton of people who can't drive worth a damn, the remains 180 miles took nearly 5 more hour.

Caught Red Dawn on TV last night. Damn, I had almost forgotten how awesome that movie was. All those actors (Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swayze, etc) were so damned....young.

And that dude who played the main Russian villain during the later part of the movie - William Smith - that dude was a complete badass in real life. Thank you IMDB.

I've never seen the remake. I had thought about watching it, right up until Hollywood showed it's yellow belly and changed the script so that North Korea was the invading force, not China.
