Permanent illusion spell

1) Does this illusion remain if the caster dies or is unsummoned (Pixie)?
2) Is there a time frame in which it can be altered, or can you just keep coming back when ever you want and change it ?

1. A spell stays even if the caster dies or is sent away unless it requires concentration.

2. You(the caster) can move the image within the confines of the spell as any time you want, but you can't change the spell appearance once it is made.

Permanent Image?

If a spell, any spell, has a duration other than Concentration, the effects continue even after the caster dies.

However, if the caster is summoned, the spell does end when the caster disappears.

Yep, Permanent Image, sorry didn't have the rule book with me.

If a spell expires I believe that it's duration comes to it's end. For instance mage armor. Can a duration of permanent actually end ?

I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

Yes. Permanent only means that it does not naturally expire unlike other spells.

I was under the impression that there is a difference between timed duration and permanent duration (which is infinite) which would have an impact on the effect of expiration. And it appears from my reading that the reason permanent exists is to allow for an everlasting effect to be dispelled (unlike that of an instant duration).

After a bit of searching I found the 3.5 ruling (and wraithstrike's arguments) I'm not really sure if it pathfinder binding though. I am bias as however, I would really like permanent images of my character through out my kingmaker realm.

Paizo did nothing to change the intent so I would think it was the same, but you might be able to get your GM to make an exception if the images or more for flavor than anything else.

It's worth a shot.
