I'm not entirely sure I agree. Yes, the mobile fighter is good at moving and attacking. However, most archer builds are centered around staying put and getting as many arrows in the air as possible. Mobile fighter is trading attacks at their highest BAB for moving, which an archer is not typically looking to do.
Weapon Master will put out a little more damage than the Archer, but will be much more narrowly focused.
The Archer's strength lies in their trick shot ability. The ability to attempt maneuvers at range is pretty powerful, though the strength will vary by campaign. If your GM like to put you against non humanoid foes that you should have no qualms killing (which is where most PFS scenarios and APs end up going), by all means, optimize for damage. But if you are running a more urban game, or one where you end up needing to capture rather than kill, the trick shots will make worlds of difference.
